Sam's POV

BEEP BEEP

BEEP BEEP

BEEP BEEP

The alarm sounds in my ear, disrupting my sleep.

I groan and turn to shut it off when I realize something.

My arms are empty.

Frowning, I feel the cold, and equally empty, spot beside me.

I open my eyes and look around, sitting up in the process.

Where is Iris?

I wipe my eyes and turn the alarm off.

I get out of bed and walk toward the stairs. Once I reach the bottom, I open the door and step into the hallway. I see the bathroom door open ahead and decided to go downstairs and check. When I get down there, I start toward the living room.

"Good morning, bear!" I hear my dad as I walk pass the kitchen.

"Morning, dad." I say as I enter the living room. "Hey, have you seen Iris?"

"She's in here." my dad chuckles.

I quickly turn around and go to the kitchen.

I find my dad at the stove, making breakfast, while Iris was at the table, reading a book.

I sigh in relief as she glances up from her book.

"Good morning." she greets me.

"Good morning." I say, feeling a bit awkward.

She returns to reading her book while I stand there, staring at her.

I hear my father chuckle and I look over at him.

He gives me a kind, yet knowing smile before turning around to the stove.

"Go and get ready." he says. "Breakfast will be done in a bit."

"Right." I flush as I turn around and head upstairs.

I go straight to bathroom and start my morning routine.

I spend half an hour in there before getting out and shewed away by my brother.

I go to my room and spend another 15 minutes choosing an outfit then quickly got dressed.

By the time I made it back downstairs, breakfast was finished and dad was cleaning up the kitchen.

Mom and Finn were at the table and Iris was no where in sight.

"Where's Iris?" I ask, getting my plate off the counter.

"Good morning, honey!" my mom grins at me. "She's in the living room."

"Oh." I blush a little and quickly take a seat.

I feel my brother burning holes in the side off my head and I look at him.

"What?" I say, annoyed.

"You got it bad." he smirks.

"What are you talking about?" I glare at him.

"Oh, you know." he wiggles his eyebrows. "You-ouch!"

"Leave your sister alone." mom shoots him a look.
