Authors Notes
To start off I actually updated. Give me a cheer. But on a sadder note I was so sad when I heard about Dermot. I've lose my Nan and Grandad and it awful when you lose a loved one. Hope I managed to convey this in this chapter. Any hope you like.

Charlie was standing in the kitchen, she was helping Ali pack her hospital bag.

Ali" It doesn't seem like five minutes ago, we were doing this with Isla"

Charlie" Yeah blimey, where does the time go?"

Ali" Thanks for helping me Charlie"

Charlie" Of course, it amazes me how you have managed to keep this a secret"

Ali" Well it amazes me that you have kept it a secret, that you haven't told Stephen at least"

Charlie" I admit it was hard, it nearly slipped out a couple of times, I can't wait for everyone to know, Stephen will wonder why I didn't tell him"

Ali" I'm sure he will forgive you, how are you doing anyway, I know it's been hard lately?"

Charlie then sighs as she sits down. Ali puts her bag down and sits down with Charlie, she wraps her arm around her. Charlie then burst into tears and Ali wrapped her arm around her.

Ali" Hey it's okay, let it out, it's okay"

At this moment Dec walks in and Ali could see he had been crying. Dermott, Dec's brother had recently just passed away, all the family were really shaken up about it. This was the first time Charlie had let it all out. Dec then sat the other side of his daughter and pulled her in close for a bone crushing hug.

Charlie" I hate that he is gone, why did he have to be taken from us"

Dec" I know, I know, I miss him so much as well, everyone does, he was taken from us"

Charlie then starts hitting Dec very angry but Dec took no notice as he knew Charlie wasn't angry with him. She then looks at Dec.

Charlie" I'm sorry dad"

Dec" Don't be sorry at all, you can punch me all you like"

Dec then hugs his daughter tight again and presses a kiss to her forehead. The door bell rings and Ali goes to get it. It turns out to be Ant who soon arrives in the kitchen. He sees Charlie in bits.

Ant" Oh no, Little D, what's with the tears?"

Dec" She is crying about Dermott, its the first time she has cried since it happened"

Ant sits down and pulls both Donnellys into a hug.

Ant" My Donnelly's, look Little D, it's going to be okay, I promise, I mean we never get fully get over someone going, we just learn to live with it"

Charlie" I just, miss him, he was my favourite Uncle, I remember that time he took me to the zoo when I was being bullied and that time he bought that Harry Potter castle card game for my birthday and Harry Potter Pjs for Christmas"

Ant" There we go, we just need to think of the good times"

Dec" Ant's right, we are all going to miss him so much, just remember the good times though"

Charlie" It's just also sad he won't get the chance to meet his new niece or nephew"

Dec" He will be watching us from up there, you know he was always very proud of you"

Charlie" Really?"

Dec" Of course he was, he always said you was a natural at so many things, when you stepped in for Simon on Pop Idol, he said that cemented your career"

Charlie" I am just sad he won't get to see me have kids"

Dec then pulls a face which makes Ant and Ali laugh. Charlie then notices her fathers face and chuckled.

Charlie" Not yet, Dad"

Dec looks at Charlie almost relieved. He did want to have grandchildren, it's just he knew his children would be in the same age range as his grandchildren. It was also the idea of one of his best mates with his daughter.

The rest of the day for The Donnellys, Ali, Ant and Isla were spent thinking about Dermott and what a brilliant brother and uncle he was. They remised about so much of all the times Dermott had shown a light on their lives. The time in DNA Journey when they found out about their ancestors, the time he looked after Charlie and Dec not realising he had a dishwasher. Then the time he married Dec and Ali and all their friends and family turned up and Charlie was Maid of Honour and Dermott said she had looked beautiful in her dress. That time Ant, Stephen, Dermott and Charlie had surprised Dec with a surprise party for his 40th. There was so much to remember and the rest of the day was spent remembering them. They even watched old home movies.

One of the movies was Charlie being born and everyone surrounded Clare, who no one saw her anymore, Ant noticed this and took Charlie's hand and squeezed it. She returned with a hand squeeze. There was then a scene of Charlie opening presents and hugging Dermot when it was something she wanted.

Dec" Just remember the good times"

Charlie" I will"

They all continue to watch home movies.
