Charlie was sat playing with Isla, she was playing with her dolls house, Charlie had a dollhouse when she was little and she was always playing with it. Isla loved hers and was always playing with it. Charlie smiled as she was sorting all the people and giving them jobs. The doorbell rings. She smiles at Isla.

Charlie" I'll be back okay"

Isla" Okay"

Charlie opens the door and there standing there was her mother. Both stood there for a while very quiet. Charlie then breaks the silence.

Charlie" What do you want?"

Clare" I came to see my daughter"

Charlie" She isn't here I'm sorry wrong house"

Charlie goes to shut the door and then Clare pushes it open.

Clare" Please Charlie, let me talk to you"

Charlie sighs.

Charlie" Fine but outside, you can't come in Isla will wonder who you are"

They exit and Charlie stands on the pathway with her so called mother.

Clare" I just wanted to see you since you are turning thirty this year"

Charlie" Yeah I am turning thirty what is it to you"

Clare" Well, it's a big birthday, the big 30"

Charlie" Oh yeah, well what about my sixteenth, my eighteenth and my 21st they were all big birthday you didn't care enough to show up for them"

Clare" Yeah well, I was busy wasn't I"

Charlie" Is that what you call it?"

Clare" Charlie don't be like that"

Charlie" Be like what, I have a right to be however I want, you left when when I was just a toddler, you left dad to care for me on his own"

Clare" He wasn't alone, he had his mum, Ant and his brothers and sisters"

Charlie" Dad was only a kid himself"

Clare" I just couldn't deal with it being a parent I was too young, I just didn't know what do"

Charlie" Neither did dad, it was new territory for him too, you know"

Clare"I realise that now, I mean I have a son of my own, your half brother, if you ever want to see him"

Charlie"I'm good, I have a half brother and his name is Jack and I have a half sister who's name is Isla"

Clare" I just want you to know, I always loved you, I never stopped loving you"

Charlie" Wasn't enough for you to come back though was it"

Charlie" What about all the times, I needed you, when I had my first boyfriend, my first kiss, my first period, you wasn't there. I was lucky to have lots of mothers, Holly and Ali were two of the main ones and grandma"

Clare" I wanted to be there for you, it's just after I left, it was harder to come back, I never stopped loving your dad either"

Charlie" I remember when I was little, he used to cry a lot and i never knew why, now I know it was because of you"

Clare" Look I came here hoping to try and fix what I broke but it was a bad idea"
