Always The Donnelly Daughter

For at least three days Charlie stayed as a mcpartlin, she stayed for the weekend. Ant was still surprised it was the longest she had ever been here. She must have been incredibly annoyed and it made Ant realise that perhaps he should talk to Dec, he knew he wasn't Charlie's parent and didn't have the right to tell Dec how he should parent but he knew he could lend a hand more.

The next day after school Charlie decided she wanted to go back home and Ant didn't discourage her from doing that, they had spent the weekend waiting movies, eating bad food and just chilling. Charlie had got her stuff ready that she had bought around to Ants even though her stuff was always here in her room here. Ant placed a hand on Charli's shoulder.

Ant" Ready?"

Charlie" Yeah I am ready, I feel bad for just storming out on dad"

Ant" Don't be teenagers make mistakes that's how you learn, I'm sure Dec feels the same, it's a learning curve for him to having a teenager"

Charlie" I need to say I'm sorry"

They made their way next door and Dec opened the door, it was like he had been waiting for them. He opened the door and Charlie hugs him so close, he wraps his arms around her.

Charlie" I am so sorry Dad"

Dec" Its okay, I forgive you, I am sorry too"

Charlie" Why are you sorry"

Dec" I guess I can be very protective of you I mean any father is, come in come on"

While Charlie was upstairs unpacking, Ant sat by his mate who had made them both tea.

Ant" Its okay mate"

Dec" I just worry sometimes that maybe I will push her away she won't want to come back"

Ant" That will never happen"

Dec" How do you know that?"

Ant" Because you and Charlie are very close, after you nearly losing her as a baby and her mum leaving her, you are so close, you've always been there for her Dec and you always will be"

Dec" What would I do without you Ant?"

Ant" Let's hope we never have to find out"

They both hug.

After a while Ant headed back next door and it was just Charlie and Dec, they sat down on the sofa and Charlie had cuddles.

Charlie" Ant, said that you nearly lost me as a baby"

Dec" Yeah, we did, the doctors weren't sure if you would survive, you were premature so you needed extra care"

Charlie" I didn't know this"

Dec" Yeah, well I didn't want to tell you it might of upset you, it's just when I heard Claire was pregnant, I thought I had made a huge mistake"

Charlie" Oh"

Dec" But Claire wanted to keep you, everyone said it was irresponsible of me to do what I did, then you was born and everyone forgot about it, you was light of live, I had never known so much love as I did as a dad"

Charlie then started crying and Dec held her close.

Dec" I think that is why I am so overprotective I just can't lose you"

Charlie" I don't want to lose you either dad or Ant or Stephen or anyone"

Dec" You won't I won't let anything happen to my little girl"

They then sat there just cuddling.

Story Notes
So Charlie has forgiven her father and Dec tells her the story of her birth.

Authors Notes
So little emotional moment between a dad and his daughter. In real life I was premature as a baby and needed lots attention. I hope you liked this chapter and if you could let me know down below. I would love that!

Question: Thoughts on a ship name for Charlie and Stephen. So far all I've got is Monelly or Starlie.
