Decs Daughter 3

Incredibly lucky

Charlie was sitting in her room, she had just had a video call with Stephen and it always made her realise how much she missed him. She smiled though so much had changed in two years she always felt like she got one good thing out of covid, Stephen. She shut the laptop down just as Dec entered.

Dec" Hey, I've got to go start filming with Ant, Ali wants to know if you want to go out shopping with her and the little ones"

Charlie" Of course I would, let me just get dressed"

Dec" Talked to Stephen this morning"

Charlie" Yeah, I miss him so much, if we were home now we would be putting the Christmas decorations up"

Dec" But it's November"

Charlie" I know, he lets me put them up though"

Dec" Oh Charlie, that's adorable"

Dad and Daughter then hug tightly and he kisses her head.

Dec" I'm so happy my little girl is happy"

Charlie" I love you dad"

Dec" I love you too"

He kisses her forehead again before letting go. He looks at his watch.

Dec" I better go, I got lots of filming to do, see you later have a good time with Ali"

Charlie" I will, have a good time filming"

Dec" I will"

When he left Charlie got changed and met Ali in her room. Isla came bounding up to her.

Isla" Charlie, we are going shopping"

Charlie" I heard, where's mummy?"

Isla" She is in the shower, do you want to play?"

Charlie" Of course"

Isla had brought her dolls with her, she seemed to love playing with dolls at the moment and gave Charlie one who she held and started playing with Isla. Ali exited the bathroom a few minutes later drying her hair.

Ali" Oh hey Charlie has Deccy gone?"

Charlie" Yeah he left about twenty minutes ago"

Ali" Okay, I just need to get Isla dressed and Jack changed and then we can go"

Later on all four of them were walking in the boiling heat down the street every time they entered it was a relief to get out of the heat. Ali knew they were not going to be out long, she had to make sure she kept Isla and Jack cool and she knew they were not going to be happy with the heat. They entered a shop and it had the best air conditioning out of all the shops they had been in. Ali handed Isla a fruit shoot to drink and started giving Jack some water. Charlie looked around the shop, she browsed all the clothes she never really needed anything she had a lot of stuff and was very lucky for it all. Though she always felt  grateful mainly because when she going up her dad and Ant were only at the height of their career. She picked up a shirt and was admiring it when a young lad came over with a name badge that said Adam

Adam" Can I help you?"

Charlie" Oh no thank you I'm just browsing"

She turns around and the boy smiles.

Adam" Hey, I know you your The Donnelly Daughter, I am huge fan of you and Stephen Mulhern can I have a selfie?"

Charlie" Of course you can, hand me your phone"

The lad hands over his phone and Charlie snaps a photo of them both.

Charlie" There you go"

Adam" Thank you so much, would you mind if I put it on instagram"

Charlie" No, not at all"

Adam" Thank you"

He left and Ali came over with Isla and Jack.

Charlie" A fan, he said he loved me and Stephen"

Ali" Awww, that's cute"

After more looking and Charlie not finding nothing they headed back out into the sweltering heat.

Isla" Can we go to the beach?"

Ali" I don't know darling it's a bit hot for that, why don't we go get something to eat"

Isla" Okay mummy"

Sitting in a freshly air conditioned restaurant, Jack was asleep, Isla was colouring in and Ali and Charlie were tucking into their lunch Ali with a burger and Charlie with pizza, she was busy eating her third slice when Isla pushed over her colouring.

Isla" Charlie I drew a dog"

Charlie" Oh wow, that is very colourful dog, what do you think mummy?"

Ali" Who's mummy's clever girl, come on you eat some of those chips"

Isla" Yes mummy"

Isla tucks into her chips dipping them in massive amounts of ketchup which she gets all over her face. Charlie looked all her family she was so grateful to have them. Once upon a time she didn't think she would ever get a brother or sister and now she had both. She smiled which Ali noticed.

Ali" What are you smiling at?"

Charlie" Just at how lucky I am, love you Ali, Isla and Jack and dad of course"

Ali" Awww, Charlie I love you too"
