The dawn of the sky shines brightly through the window, the curtains already opened. It gives a soothing and lull feeling, being able to see the bright light with their eyes barely open. It seems like the bed it all the more comfortable, both Max and Lucas body drowning into the soft mattress, the pillows just the right amount of soft against their cheeks. For Lucas at least, Lucas chest is the right amount of soft for Max's cheek to lay against.
Their legs are entangled together, Max's arm laying on Lucas chest, softly using her fingers a pattern of a small circle at the middle of his chest. One of Lucas arms is around Max's waist, drawing the same circular pattern on the skin of her hip, while the other softly rubs up and down her arm on his chest. They both just lay contently with one another, just enjoying each others presence. Max nor Lucas didn't think the bed was this comfortable, the blankets were so warm and the pillows were so soft, they now know it is because they had so much stress on them, they only went to bed because their bodies were exhausted from all the days activities. But now, now they are much happier than ever, they are able to finally relax and go to bed sound asleep, and wake up refreshed in the morning.
Max never has awoken this early feeling this rejuvenated, she has never been a morning person. Normally she would be grouchy if she woke during this time and wasn't able to go back to sleep. Max knows that isn't the case now because for one she can actually see, she enjoys waking up to see Lucas, his peaceful face as he lightly snores, the way his chest slowly goes up and down. Max just enjoys to look at him while he is sleeping, she likes laying her head on his chest while he sleeps, his breathing calming her down and his heart beat being her remedy to close her eyes and go into a deep slumber.
After some time of admiring Lucas he finally woke up, smiling down at Max and giving her a soft kiss. It is a scene Max can wake up to everyday, everyday and she will never grow bored of it, because each time his lips land on hers, lands on her skin, it makes her skin tingle in excitement.
"Can I ask you a question?" Lucas questions after some time of content silence, still rubbing her arm slowly, loving how smooth it feels against his hands.
"You just did." Max responds, a evident smile on her face. "But yeah." She continues.
"You remember that day in the RV, where you said there was a memory you would hide in?" Lucas begins to say.
"Yeah."
"And when I asked if I was there...."
Max smiles, already knowing where he is getting at. She rest her chin on his chest, looking at him with a smile and a raised eyebrow.
"And you said I was...."
"Well I said you might have been there." Max corrects, a smirk still evident on her face.
"Was I?" Lucas questions, his finger going to twirl a piece of Max's hair around his fingers.
Max looks up a little, pretending to be thinking about the question. "Hmmm, let me think..."
"You're such a tease." Lucas says.
Max laughs, going back to lay on her cheek on his chest. "Yeah, yeah you were there."
Lucas smiles, he doesn't know why but for the past few days his mind has been thinking and thinking about what the memory could have been. The time where she was happiest. Lucas was dying to know when that time was, and what he did to have apart of that happiness. He told himself that he wouldn't ask, after all it is still a sensitive subject given that she had to use that specific memory to hide in, in which she was found, but Lucas told himself there is no reason he should hide his feelings anymore, there is no reason to keep anything in anymore, because they wouldn't be able to move forward if they don't.
