Max stands at the glass window while she looks at Amir, her arms being crossed while she leans on the plexiglass, her just letting out a little breath.
She looks at Amir, he is beautiful, him just sleeping soundly with the blue blanket being wrapped around him, his head being turned a little to the side while he sleeps. He is so small, so innocent, and the scene of him is completely heartwarming.
While she stares at Amir her mind trails back to what Nancy told her, the little talk that they had. She knows that Nancy is right but at the same time she fears so much about Lucas reaction. She knows Lucas, he is the type of one to put his feelings on the back burner before he completely explodes from holding it in to much. He means well with trying to be selfless and considerate, but when he holds in his true feelings for something for to long it always comes out.
She doesn't want this to be the case this time, she doesn't want to be playing Tug O War when it comes to Lucas because that is what she did once before and she could tell it did hurt him even though he doesn't readily admit that, she knows it did, and when they got married she swore to herself that she wouldn't to that to him ever again.
Only thing she fears having this talk would do it over again.
And that is what makes her heart face a little.
Max looks back ahead of her when she sees Lucas round the corner, him walking in his normal confident strides with his hands in his pockets, his jacket being unzipped. "Hey." She softly smiles.
"Hey." Lucas smiles softly, him going to lean his shoulder on the plexiglass, his front facing Max while he looks to his side at Amir. "I like how Steve did it."
Max looks over at him. "What?"
"How he named Amir, he chose a name with meaning." Lucas responds. "Apparently before I was born my mom and dad were having a lot of issues. They loved each other but things were growing messy they always said, and things were about to end for them...before they had me." He explains. "My mom named me Lucas because my name means a bringer of light. Darkness was filling their world, they loved each other but they were young and being reckless, and the darkness almost cost them their relationship, but they said that I brought them back together, I was the light to their paths that guided them back to each other."
Max smiles softly, leaning the side of her head on the plexiglass, her smiling with her arms crossed. "I never knew that, that is actually really beautiful Lucas, that really is."
Lucas smiles. "Yeah it was, I mean I know I am awesome but...."
Max laughs softly. "Well I know my mom named me but I'm not to sure why she chose Max. Not that I don't like the name but I just don't know what it specifically means."
"Oh I know exactly why she named you Max." Lucas responds.
"Is that so?" Max questions with a smile. "Why's that?"
"The name Max means the greatest." Lucas responds. "The name is based in German it is a neutral name there, but it means the greatest of all time. I just know when she had you that is exactly what she thought, even more so when Chester's dumbass just left without a word and it was just you and her, you were the greatest towards her, her greatest person to have at her side."
"You are the greatest at everything that you do Max, when it comes to your loyalty, your support and you just being a hard working business woman. Hell you recovered from something no one else thought you would and look at you now, running the most successful newspaper and broadcasting business with Nancy at just twenty one. Not only that, you are always there for your friends and go to great lengths for them, your family really. Everything that you do is great, you are great, you are the greatest and you would be the greatest at anything Max okay anything, I hope you know that." Lucas concludes.
