"Are you all doing double practice now before and after school?" Steve questions, him being in his black and blue police uniform attire, him driving while Amir is in the passenger seat with his green basketball shorts on and his white muscle shirt.
"Yeah Uncle really wants to win this championship." Amir says.
"Are you excited? Little man it's your first year on a basketball team and you are about to play in a championship game!" Steve smiles.
"I know I am excited." Amir smiles. "Nervous but excited."
"That is to be expected. I am proud of you you have worked really hard at this. At that championship game I am going to be cheering you on." Steve says with a smile.
"Please don't tell me you are going to spray paint yourself again." Amir looks over at him.
"No as fun as that is it causes me to be in the shower for an hour scrubbing off the spray paint which causes my skin to crinkle up." Steve shakes his head. "Plus when it starts to run down...yeah it gets kind of messy."
"Gross!" Amir scrunches up his face in disgust.
"Well it's true!" Steve defends. "But yes I will be cheering you on with regular clothes in my regular handsome attire."
"Oh my god Dad." Amir rolls his eyes.
"Hey I'm just saying we are some good looking dudes I mean where do you think you got it from?" Steve looks over at him while pulling up in front of the school.
"Alright Dad see you later bye." Amir says while he takes off his seatbelt, him just laughing in response.
Steve looks when he hears a motorcycle, seeing Ryder with his helmet on pulling into his normal parking space. "No way that's a freaking Cruiser! Who is driving that?" Steve questions while getting out.
"No Dad not him—"
"I'm going to go talk to him." Steve says.
"No Dad..." Amir tries, him sighing out a little bit when Steve keeps walking over to him, Amir mumbling under his breath a little bit before following Steve.
"Hey! I'm sorry I was just admiring your bike here." Steve motions.
Ryder takes off his helmet. "Appreciate that. It's my granddad's actually."
"Oh really?" Steve smiles.
"Yeah but he to old to be ridin it so he passin it on to me soon." Ryder says, him looking at the bike and lightly patting it.
"Yeah this is slick." Steve says while slowly circling the bike and looking at it.
"Yeah it got good endurance." Ryder comments.
"Well I definitely wanted to compliment you on it. Steve Harrington." Steve shakes his hand.
"Ryder Parker." He introduces. "Yeah I know yo son he helped me on my first day here."
"Good to hear." Steve smiles while patting Amir's shoulder, Amir just giving a tight smile in response with his hands in his pockets. "Well I'll let you both head into class. Nice meeting you!"
"Nice meetin you too!" Ryder calls out, Steve going to get back in his car. "Nice pops you got."
"Yeah he's very talkative." Amir nods a little. "Well...good talk. Have a good day."
Ryder looks at Amir as he walks away, him just rolling his eyes lightly before putting his helmet on his bike.
After Amir gets done with practice he showers before going to put on his jeans and his T shirt, him going to run his hand through his damp thick hair as he makes his way to his class, him going to sit down at his desk.
