"That was actually pretty nice." Max says, walking with Lucas down the street.

Both Lucas and Max walk together holding hands. After some good long hours of talking to Lucas parents and Erica they both decided to go on and go and just walk back to the house and just talk while they are walking. It is a warm breezy night, Max put her hair in a low ponytail that way her hair wouldn't get in her face, and Lucas gave her his jacket to wear while they walk.

"Yeah it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." Lucas responds.

"You sister is amazing." Max laughs.

"She's a pain in the ass." Lucas mentions.

"Only to you." Max smiles.

"Exactly."

Max laughs, them looking around at the lights in the buildings while they walk, some people walking on the sidewalk as well and cars driving down the street. It is calm, content, totally different on how the city use to be.

"I feel like they are still holding onto the person I use to be though." Lucas says after some time.

"What do you mean?"

"Like...the middle school me that enjoyed all the different action figures and had them all around my room. Don't get me wrong the new Star Wars figures are amazing but the others I use to be into I'm not anymore. Or just freshman me that was just focused on basketball and basketball only. I think they are not used to this real me, they want the old Lucas back." He explains.

Max nods her head, because honestly she was receiving that same time of energy with them as well. Especially when Sue kept telling Lucas to look at the box of action figures he didn't want to look at and kept telling her to either discard or donate. It came to Lucas telling Sue that he wasn't a kid anymore and he was a full grown adult and he didn't want them anymore. Max kind of felt bad, she saw the look on Sue's face when he said it and she tried to cover it up with a smile, but it needed to be said.

"Yeah I kind of saw that too." Max mentions.

"And my dad doesn't really understand, I mean I'm not holding that against them to understand my feels and everything and how it all works, but it still kind of pissed me off when he automatically said anger issues." Lucas says.

"Yeah I can admit that too." Max replies, she is honestly glad Lucas said it because it kind of angered her too, but she wasn't going to say anything if Lucas didn't. "I mean he heard it in court when it was explained. It's not anger issues."

"Exactly. I just feel like they are still holding onto the person I use to be. I changed, I had to change I wanted to change. I think they still thought I was going to be that same boy who stayed in his room playing games and going to Mike's basement for D&D. I don't think they have fully accepted who I am now." Lucas explains.

Max nods, it is something she can understand. "I think the same as well. It is hard for parents when they watch the child they raise grow up and go on their own. I would just give them a little time to adjust, you're lucky to have such good parents."

"Yeah I was thinking about that at dinner. I mean your dad wasn't bad but he did abandon you. I don't even know about Dustin's dad and Mike's dad is a complete lazy pain in the ass." Lucas says making Max laugh. "And Will and Johnathan's dad is just the same, Eleven...well I won't even go into that. It just made me realize how lucky I actually am, and the things I have I cannot take them for granted."

Max smiles, entangling her fingers in Lucas while leaning on his shoulder.

Lucas turns to look at Max, going to take her hands in his. "I feel like I have taken you for granted most of all."
