Lucas already knows what is about to happen as soon as he closes the door behind him, him already seeing how Max walks ahead of her with her angry strides.
"I'm about to find this miss Cross and Cross her damn face with a damn slap!" Max says angrily, her going to use her ponytail holder to put her hair up in a messy bun, her back still being turned to him.
"Max—"
"I mean how could she say that?!" Max throws up her hands. "Don't get me wrong I know Ambie can have some attitude but that is uncalled for! Ambie has never had a problem with low grades and you are telling her to be more attentive?! To try more harder in class?!"
"Max I know—"
"Yeah not happening bitch! She is about to be in for a rude awakening when I cross foot through that classroom door!" Max says. "Quick Lucas help me decide on what to wear, I need the most intimidating outfit to make her toes itch." She says while going in her closet.
Lucas rubs his fingertips against his forehead while his eyes are closed, him going over to her walk in closet with her, seeing how she looks through all of her different colored slacks. "Max my love?" He questions, Max still looking through her things. "Max."
"Black is the color of intimidation but apparently I took more intimidating in red so I need you to judge the outfits I'm about to put together."
"Max—"
"And don't just say they look good Lucas you piss me off so much when you say that." Max looks over at him.
Lucas just looks at her for a minute. "I'm sorry?"
"Sorry? That's all you have to say about it?" Max questions, Lucas just shrugging his shoulders with a confused expression. "I'm sorry, I'm not getting mad at you all of my growing impending anger that is slowly consuming me right now is towards this dumbass teacher that made my daughter cry, I love you."
Max quickly kisses Lucas on the lips, her going back to looking through her clothes, her expression clearly angered as she looks through her clothes. He goes to take a little breath, he won't lie and say he isn't a little bit nervous because he always grows a little nervous when talking to Max while she is mad, because it is kind of difficult to talk to her. She has gotten better than before but sometimes it is still hard.
And Lucas feels like now is one of those times.
"Max—"
"Do I look more intimidating with my hair curly or straight?" Max questions while still rummaging through her clothes.
"Definitely straight." Lucas immediately responds. "But Max—"
"Black or red blazer?" Max shows him the two different blazers on each side of her on the hanger.
"Max—"
"Black or red Lucas?!" Max pouts.
"Red." Lucas responds, her nodding before hanging them up and going back to looking at her slacks. "Max—"
"Same color for slacks?" Max questions. "Yeah, yeah I can wear a black shirt and my black boot ankle heels and my red slacks then I can—"
"Max." Lucas interrupts her.
"But I have to—"
"Shhhh." Lucas hushes while going to cradle her face while putting his thumb over her lips. "Hush for a minute."
"But Lucas she—"
"I know what she said Max, I was right there too when Amberlee was explaining it." Lucas says softly.
