After the Fall

The Next Dinner (Even MORE hmm)

Lucas and Max both make their way out of the car as soon as Lucas parks in front of the house, Mike and Dustin's car as well as Lucas bike already in the driveway.

"I swear if this guy is here for the wrong reason..." Dustin trails off as he goes to sit down, him Suzie Eleven and Mike in the living room.

"Yeah we're going to be mad, just imagine how Lucas is going to react." Mike mentions.

"Max will be devastated." Eleven mentions. "I really really hope it isn't the case."

"Me either, I really hope he is a genuine guy." Suzie agrees.

"Only one way to find out, we'll know more when-"

They all look towards the door when they see it open, Max being first to make her way inside, Lucas closing the door behind them.

Max smiles at all of them. "Hey guys."

"Hey." They all say back.

"I'm sorry for the whole party thing just ditching, and not really talking you all since then." Max says.

"Max you have nothing to apologize for." Eleven mentions while getting up, going to give Max a tight hug.

"Yeah absolutely nothing, we understand Max." Mike agrees.

"Yeah please don't apologize you have nothing to apologize for." Suzie comments.

"Seriously it is completely understood." Dustin mentions.

Max nods her head, going to smile at them. "Thank you all for understanding." She responds. "I would like you alls opinion, what did you all think of Chester?"

They all begin to glance at each other. "We don't exactly know, since we really didn't technically meet him." Suzie responds.

Max nods. "You all will be meeting him soon I promise. I just wanted the next get together to be me and Lucas then from there you guys."

"Sounds good." Mike replies.

"Well goodnight you guys, I love you all." Max responds.

"We love you too Max." They all go to hug Max, her hugging them back. They all go to hug Lucas as well before Lucas and Max both make their way up the stairs. They both just take a quick shower before they both go into the room, Lucas turning on the neon lights for the stars to pop out more.

Max smiles while she looks at the ceiling around the room. "I love this so much."

Lucas smiles, his arms going around Max's waist while lightly swaying her. "I'm glad you do." He responds, giving her a soft kiss to her cheek. Max smiles, turning around to face Lucas and her arms wrapping around his neck, her going to stand on her tippy toes. Lucas goes to effortlessly pick her up, going to sit down at the edge of the bed, her straddling him.

"Tell me how you feel." Max says while beginning to play with the necklace around his neck. "And don't hold back, I want to know."

Lucas knew this was going to be her question whenever they got back, and Lucas got prepared for it. "Truth is I don't like him, I am not saying that can't change it can, he just has to show me he is here for you and wants to form a genuine bond with you, and that is going to take time it won't be overnight, so until then I will be keeping a close eye on things, but don't feel you can't talk about him or say how good things go when you all talk or explain your feelings towards him to me. I want you to continue to talk to him and see what you think the more you talk to him, but still just keep an eye out for things, proceed with caution sort of speak."

Max nods her head in understanding, she is glad that Lucas is sharing his true honest feelings with her, even if he doesn't like Chester. He is right though when he says to stay on guard, Max tells herself too every-time as well. She doesn't want to get to caught up in the fact that her dad is finally back and he said he wanted a relationship with her, despite that naming her happy Max still wants him to prove himself to her. "You are absolutely right, thank you for letting me know Lucas how you feel. It is important to me to know how you feel about him, because honestly I don't even know you know? I'm glad he's back but there is still much to see."
