The sky becomes darker, the moon begins to become more visible in the sky. It is a known chill in the air, Mike can see the the little snowflakes that are more visible, knowing it will be much heavier later tonight. Mike leans on the wall while he looks out of the window, he becomes worried, but he knows that Lucas needs his time. He himself needed time alone before he talked to El, so he knows how it is, he knows how Lucas feels.
Max on the other hand is not as calm as everyone else. While Dustin and Suzie sit on the smaller couch playing a simple board game and Eleven using her powers to make a cup float above her while she lays down, Max paces around the living room. Going from one end of the small table in front of the couches to the other before repeating the same motion over and over again. It was apart of the plan, El told Mike to go stand by the door just in case Max tried to make a break for it, she wanted to keep her promise to Lucas and give him his time.
"Can you please stop pacing?" Mike finally says while looking at Max.
Max only rolls her eyes and grunts lowly, going to sit on the large couch that Eleven is laying down on. She sits there for a few minutes, rocking her knee and holding her hands together. After a few minutes she gets up, beginning to make her way to the door.
"Woah what are you doing?" Mike questions, going in front of the door to block Max.
"Finding Santa Claus, what do you think?" Max answers sarcastically, trying to go pass Mike but he only blocks her, putting his hand out.
"Lucas said he needed time." Mike reasons.
"It is now nine Mike! It is freezing out there and it's been more than three hours! Get out of my way!" Max says, trying to go around him once again but Mike puts his back on the door, blocking Max altogether.
"Everyone is different okay, Lucas obliviously needs more time then the rest of us." Mike tries to say.
"Mike I don't need your Shakespeare quotes!"
"Shakespeare didn't say that." Mike says while shaking his head and giving a confused look.
"Whatever, get out of my way Mike." Max says, sending him a hard glare.
"Look...I..."
"Don't." Max interrupts. "Move out of the way Mike."
"Max." Eleven interrupts calmly, catching the cup in the air and putting it down on the table before she gets up, making her way to Max. She takes her hand, making Max turn to look at El. "Give him time." She mentions.
"Okay you guys do know that if Steve would have listened to Lucas when he told him to give me more time when I was at the graveyard I could have been a pile of bones?" Max questions, going to cross her arms. "Broken ones at that!"
"Can we not...bring that up please?" Dustin questions.
"What's that suppose to mean? Vecna's dead!" Mike says.
"My point is that what if he's in trouble? What if he...froze or something?" Max questions.
"Froze?" Eleven questions.
"Yes!"
"He's not frozen!" Mike says.
"And how do you know that?" Max directs at Mike, raising an eyebrow at him.
"Uhh because that doesn't even make any sense!" Mike answers.
"Plus your body freezes at negative 0.5 degrees and it will take like 12-26 hours before you were frozen solid." Dustin explains while moving a piece on the board game.
Both Max Eleven and Mike turn to Dustin, looking at him with raised eyebrows. "How do you know that?"
Dustin looks up at them, shrugging his shoulders. "Who doesn't know that?"
