After the Fall

Til death to us part...as if! (Fluff)

It has been a couple of weeks since Max and Lucas have been in San Antonio and it has been complete bliss. Of course they have stayed in but they have gone out as well to just see the beauty of the city. Now Lucas says he has a whole day planned for Max, he won't tell her the details, only telling her they will roam the city and see new things.

So Max stands ready for the day, her hair in a high bun while a few strands hang free, knowing the hot day it is going to be. She wears blue Jean high rise shorts and a stripped black and white tank top and black high rise converse, deciding on wearing the same long earrings that she wore to her wedding because she adores them and just light makeup of a little mascara and light lipstick, not wanting it heavy on her lips.

Max decides to call the others since it has been a little bit since she last called them. She and Lucas got a ear-full from Mike and Steve when they called in a week after they got here, them telling them they should have called earlier or the night they got there to let them know they settled in. Max and Lucas assured them that they were fine and they would call periodically to check in. Max first dials the home phone number, it ringing and ringing until it goes to voicemail. Max next dials Nancy and Steve's home phone number, it picking up after three rings.

"Hello-"

"Mike I swear to god!" Max hears Nancy yell from the phone.

"My goodness for the last time it was Dustin! I didn't steal your hairspray!" Mike yells.

"Then why is it in your bag?!" Nancy yells.

"I don't know!" Mike yells back. "Yeah hello?"

"Did you steal Nancy's hairspray?" Max questions.

"Max!" Mike exclaims happily. "Only took a week for you both to call back in but it's whatever. Everything good? Having fun?"

Max laughs. "Yes we are."

"Gross." Mike comments.

"I didn't mean it like that i just meant that plain and simple we are. Today Lucas is taking me out to the city." Max explains.

"Oh nice! Take lots of pictures!" Mike responds. "And where is Lucas?"

"He is still getting ready." Max comments.

"Is that Mayfield?" Max hears Steve question.

"Yeah."

"Let me talk to her."

"No wait I'm not-"

Max hears the constant shuffling and static of Mike and Steve fighting over the phone, Max just pulls the phone away from her ear normally while they fight with the phone.

Soon enough the shuffling stops and Max hears Mike and Steve exclaim 'hey!'.

"Max?" Eleven questions over the phone, her using her powers to take the phone away from them.

"El hey!" Max greets. "I assume you took the phone away from the children?"

"Yes." Eleven answers, making Max chuckle in reply. "I miss you, we all miss you both." She mentions while going to sit on the couch, Mike and Steve standing next to the couch to try and listen.

"Yeah we miss you guys too, we'll be back in a couple of weeks." Max says back.

"Anything fun planned for today?"

"Yeah, Lucas is taking me out to the city. He won't tell me much, the rest is a surprise." Max smiles.

"Sounds fun, remember take lots of pictures." Eleven mentions.

"Definitely will do."

Lucas makes his way out of the bathroom, buttoning up his shirt. He wears black jeans and a blue buttoned up shirt, deciding to shave the subtle off his face. He makes his way over to Max, giving her a kiss on her cheek.
