Chapter 23. "Calebs dark side"

Aaron POV
I watched Zane walk out of Caleb's office without any injuries he looked normal but I could tell he did something he was going to regret later. "Aaron you should be fine it wasn't bad just rest and stay off your foot for a while." Ron told me.

"Thanks Ron." He nodded his head packing his things so he could leave. I noticed Caleb walk out his office walking in the same direction that Zane went. "Ron don't leave yet I have a feeling were going to need you again."

He sat on the couch with me and Layla watching Ace and Max play together. "Layla go in the room with the kids don't come out for anything text me if you need anything." I told her.

Knowing Caleb and Zane were up to something that would probably traumatize her and the kids. She took both Ace and Max upstairs to the room like I told her to.

"Carson come here!" I called him over to me cause I couldn't get up. "Get Jerry and the other guys to come here because Zane just put his life on the line to keep Caleb sane."

He quickly ran outside to go get Jerry and the others this was going to take more than just one or two of us to pull Caleb off of Zane. We needed to do this fast because Caleb wasn't in control of what he was doing.

What Zane is allowing him to do to him is like he just signed his life away. Caleb was going to hurt him in ways he couldn't even imagine and the more you scream the more pain he causes. "How are we going to do this without ending up dead too?" Carson asked me.

"We probably won't it's a fifty/fifty chance now help me up so I can help you guys." I limped the whole way to the basement you could hear Zane screaming in pain from Caleb's excruciating attacks on him.

When we all walked down into the basement the scene in front of us was gruesome and scary we all knew this wasn't Caleb anymore this was, "The dark side." Of Caleb.

We all stood there with horrified eyes at Zane's bloody and bruised up body displayed in the middle of the room chained up by the ceiling and floor by his arms and legs.

What was even more terrifying was the fact that Caleb was smiling with Zane's blood all over his hands some even on his face and chest.

He was enjoying torturing Zane as sick as it sounds this is what Caleb's parents created a live killing machine that loved to torture his victims with slow painful deaths.

"Caleb let him go that's Zane your hurting our friend." I yelled at him trying to get him to understand what he was doing. "L-leave him alone Aaron I told him to do it." Zane spoke up with blood spilling out of his mouth.

"Are you fucking crazy Zane you know he won't stop your going to end up dead!" I yelled at him. "I know what I got myself into Aaron get the fuck out and go find his wife before he really ends up killing me."

I gave him one last sympathetic glance before I limped back out of the basement with all the others. Caleb smiled psychotically continuing his severe brutal attack on Zane's body.

"Sage tell me you found out who the fuck took Aria we need to hurry up and find her or were all going to end up dead." I said dead serious.

"I found out the last location he was in when he called Arias phone I'm thinking he might be keeping her hostage somewhere near there." Sage replied showing me the last location he was in.

"Jerry you go look around that area for any abandoned buildings don't go in just look when you find one call me and we will all come to go check." I instructed him.

"Sage keep looking I need you to find her fast. The rest of you keep watch around the house." I told the rest of them.

I sat back down on the couch not being able to stand on my leg any longer because of the pain. Zane was doing us all a favor but he was also risking his life for us just to keep Caleb from going on a killing spree.

I noticed Caleb's phone began to ring with the same unknown number that was ringing every two hours on Arias phone. "Sage come here!" I yelled for her before answering the phone.

As soon as I answered the phone I could see and hear Aria screaming and begging them to let her go. Two of his men where tying her down to a chair while he held the camera up to watch them tie her down.

It was hard to tell who he was because he covered his entire face with a mask you could only see his eyes. "What do you want from her you fucking bastard let her go!" I yelled. He hung up the call once I finished my sentence. He was mocking us.

I wanted to throw the phone against the wall from how angry this made me. The guy was smart it had to be someone we knew that was close to us before I had a feeling it was going to be someone Caleb was always right about.

I was going to find out who this bastard was and when I do I'm going to personally take him to Caleb while he's still out of control so he can feel every part of his body being ripped apart while he's alive.

A sick bastard would threaten to kill someone's kid just to get what they want. This was going to be the hardest thing to recover from and figure out the sooner we find Aria the better.

The longer we take to find Aria the worse it will be for us to stay alive and keep Caleb sane. "Aaron your phone." Ron said noticing I was zoned out. Layla texted me to bring the kids snacks.

I got up limping to the kitchen to get snacks and drinks for them. I filled a bag full of food and snacks for them carefully making my way upstairs to give it to them.

I opened the bedroom door we were sleeping in. "Here sweetheart." I handed the bag to Layla kissing her cheek. "Did you find her Aaron please say you did?" She asked with a few tears falling from her eyes.

"Were working on it baby. We're going to find her I promise don't let the kids see you cry. Just stay in here text me if you need anything." She nodded her head hugging me while wiping her tears so Ace and Max didn't see.

I closed the door going back downstairs we needed to find Aria now it wouldn't be long until Ace starts to notice his mother isn't around. "I found one abandoned building that's 10 miles away." Jerry said as soon as he saw me.

"Get everyone ready we're going to check it out now." I told him grabbing the car keys so we could go see if this is where he was keeping Aria captive.
