Chapter 77. Proposition

Caleb POV
"Sir sorry for interrupting your meeting but your wife and son are here in your office." Zack whispered to me. "Tell them I'll be there in a minute." He nodded his head before leaving the meeting room.

"Lets wrap this up. I'm done talking and so should all of you. Get back to work. Your all still expected to get your work done by 5." I said authoritatively.

They all left the meeting after I left the room first. I went to my office quickly to see Aria and Ace. Once I walked into my office both Ace and Aria ran up to me hugging me.

"Come on let's go get lunch. But someone's going to join us are you guys okay with that?" I asked both of them. "I don't mind." Ace said. "Y-yeah." Aria confirmed.

I grabbed their hands so we could leave. I opened another office door. Aaron and Zane were scaring the kid that tried to rob me yesterday. "That's enough. Leave the kid alone. I told you guys to talk to him not scare him." I said to them.

"What's your name kid?" I asked him. "Issac. My name is Issac." He almost stuttered. "Come with me so we can talk." He got up almost making the chair fall back because of how scared he was of Aaron and Zane.

I wanted to laugh but I held it back. "Don't try anything I'll break both of your arms off." Zane threatened him. He walked out the room with me, Aria, and Ace following us to my car so we could leave.

I drove to the small restaurant that Ace and Aria liked to eat at when they came to eat lunch with me. It wasn't far from my job so we got there quickly.

I found a parking I helped Ace get out the car before I opened Arias door for her. We got to our table and sat down to order our food and drinks. I could tell Isaac was nervous because of Zane and Aaron messing with him.

I looked at him quietly to get his attention before I started talking to him. He looked at me nervously as if he was afraid to even look at me the wrong way.

"I know your scared. You should be after what you did yesterday but I won't do anything to you yet unless you do something to make me hurt you." I explained to him to ease his nerves a little.

"I apologize sir I really am sorry for what I did." He apologized for the tenth time. "Apologizing won't help you Issac. Eat your food we will talk more when we get back to my office."

I pulled Arias seat closer to me. She grabbed my hand under the table holding my hand on her lap while we ate the food we ordered. Ace ate his food silently sitting close to me as well.

Aria tapped my arm to get my attention. I looked at her she looked at Issac making me look at him as well. He was eating his food quickly like he hadn't eaten in years.

"Issac." He looked up at me putting his fork down chewing his food slowly. "Calm down the food isn't going anywhere."

He nodded his head eating the food slowly like a normal person instead of like a starved person like he was doing moments ago.

Aria got closer to me pulling my arm down so she could reach my ear to whisper something to me. "C-can w-we o-order h-him m-more f-food?" She asked whispering to me so Issac wouldn't be embarrassed.

"I already did it. Just eat I'll handle him." I kissed her cheek pushing her chair closer to the table so she could reach her food better.

                             15 minutes later

We all finished eating the waitress gave me the extra food I ordered for Isaac. I drove us back to my office. The car ride back was calmer with less tension.

I took Ace and Aria back to my office making Issac stand outside. "I'll be back later I got you guys coloring books and crayons so you guys aren't bored I'll be back later. Don't leave this room at all." I told them both sternly.

"O-okay w-we p-promise." Aria said smiling up at me. Ace ran towards the bag with the crayons and coloring books. "I love you princess. I'll be back in a hour or two." She hugged me kissing my chest.

"D-don't b-be t-too m-mean t-to I-Issac. H-he's a-already r-really s-scared o-of y-you." I tilted her head up to look at me. "Don't worry princess he will be fine I won't kill him yet I'm still thinking about it." Her smile disappeared.

I kissed her head pulling her closer into my chest. "Be a good girl for daddy and stay in here with Ace until I come back." She nodded her head staying quiet. She kissed my chest once more before I left my office.

I walked into the room where Aaron and Zane were sitting with Isaac. I could see the fear in his eyes when I sat down next to him. "How do you know so much about us Issac?" I asked him suspiciously.

"I told you already. I did a lot of research on you specifically. I'm a nerd I'm telling the truth I swear." He responded the same way he did earlier when he came to the office.

"What did you do with the money I gave you yesterday?" He stayed quiet. I could tell he was getting nervous about answering my question. "Answer the fuckin question we don't have all day." Aaron yelled making him flinch.

"I went to get a hotel like you told me to but my parents seen me walking by and they forced me to give them all the money you gave me." He finally responded.

"If you knew who he was why did you try to rob him?" Zane asked him. "Because I knew he had money." He answered but we could all tell there was more to the story.

"I'm going to say this in the nicest way possible. Either start talking or we can do this my way. Trust me you won't like my way because all your going to feel is pain. Now start talking or this whole room is going to be painted with your blood." I threatened him.

"Okay I'll talk please just don't kill me." His voice trembled with fear. "Start talking already. Damn Caleb I thought you said this kid was smart." Zane said annoyed with him.

"I didn't rob you for the money. I did need money but that wasn't the point of me coming to you. I wanted to see if I could join your mafia." Zane was the first one to start laughing at his response.

He looked at us offended because we were laughing at him. "Wait your actually being serious?" Aaron asked him surprised.

"I'm really good at robbing and getting away with a lot of things just give me a chance I'm begging you please." He tried convincing us.

We all looked at each other before we started laughing again. "I know that they call you the Ghost man because of how quiet and fast you are. Your Mr Blackwoods closest friend or family member." He said about Zane and Aaron.

"And your the boss the don of the whole mafia.Your known for your ruthlessness. Showing no mercy, torturing your victims to death, you were once named as the scariest man alive. You own most of New York even the freaking cops work for you."

"Well someone did their homework." Zane said humorously. "I did I'm not embarrassed to admit that. I need this and if that doesn't impress you I will do anything just let me join." He said pleadingly.

"Do you know how to fight?" Aaron asked him. "I've been in a couple of fights." He responded. "How old are you?" Zane asked him. "I'm turning 17 next week." "And you want to join a gang instead of going to school like a normal kid?" Aaron's asked him.

"Look I've tried to be in school but all that did for was get me into more trouble. I would get into fights all the time in school I got expelled from three schools already." He explained himself.

"Reminds me of someone." Zane said looking at me. "Look I'm not going to be easy on you. I want you to be scared of me so you know who's in charge."

"You fuck up just once or piss me off all I'm going to say is I'm going to enjoy killing you. If that doesn't scare you enough then I suggest you start running now and hide because this isn't a game anymore kid." His eyes had pure fear in them but I could see the determination in them as well.
