Chapter 66. Try hard

Aria POV
Caleb finally came and sat with us. I got up from my seat so he could sit cause I wanted to sit on his lap.

"A-are y-you o-okay d-daddy?" I whispered to him kissing his cheek. "I'm fine princess don't worry about me." He whispered back kissing my lips softly.

"The food should be done in an hour." Matteo told us. "Where are the ladies Matteo. You always have the best parties what's going on?" Zane asked him.

"This was Isabella idea to thank you all for helping me get her back. My bad." Matteo explained. "Don't worry about him Matteo. He needs to find a wife already." Aaron said.

We all laughed while Zane smacked his teeth throwing his cigarette bud at Aaron. "Your always talking shit Aaron." Zane said annoyed by Aaron.

"Well he has a point Zane you lost the bet we made when we went to Matteo's masquerade party." Caleb said.

"You can't use that against me we weren't even there that long because we were talking to Matteo." Zane defended himself. "Whatever Zane you always looking for excuses. You could have went and danced with someone and found a wife." Aaron said.

I looked over at Ace who was playing with Max and Isabella. While they talked. I noticed Lydia and Emma coming outside with the same man we seen them get out the car with.

I tensed up panicking because they were walking towards us. "What's wrong princess?" Caleb asked me turning his head to look at what I was looking at. I quickly turned his head so he wouldn't look that way.

Aaron noticed what I was panicking about but it was too late for either of us to prevent Caleb from seeing Emma and Lydia. They came right next to us standing by Zane and Angelo smiling.

"I wanted to introduce you guys to my boyfriend Nick." Emma said staring right at Caleb like she was trying to make him jealous or something. "Nice to meet you Nick." Angelo spoke up after he noticed none of were going to speak up.

Angelo shook his hand to greet him. Zane looked at Emma almost angrily for coming near us. Zane got up from his seat grabbing Emma's hand dragging her away to talk to her privately.

"I'm Aaron this is my wife Layla." Aaron greeted Nick to ease the tension in the air. "Nice meeting you both." Nick said looking at me and Caleb. Caleb shook his hand. "Nice meeting you Nick." Caleb said with a small smile.

I saw Caleb's jaw clench when he noticed Lydia mean mugging me. "Lydia go in the house." Aaron told her noticing how angry Caleb was getting.

"For wh-.." Lydia started saying. "The food is ready let's go eat and it's getting cold out here." Matteo said loudly so Caleb wouldn't hear what she was about to say. Caleb picked me up following everyone into the house.

"Ace come on let's go inside now." Caleb called him over to us. He ran over with Max grabbing Caleb's hand. We sat at the dinning table Ace sitting between me and Caleb.

"Mommy I'm not hungry." Ace whispered to me. "J-just e-eat a l-little b-bit p-please I-I'll b-buy y-you a-another t-toy c-car." I bribed him to eat. "Okay but only a little mommy." He said making sure I only sip him a little food on his plate.

We all started eating the food Matteo's chef made on the grill for us. I avoided looking at Lydia and Emma so there wouldn't be a problem.

I didn't want Caleb to hurt them even tho they kept saying and doing hurtful things to me.

I looked over to Caleb he looked over at me like he knew I was going to look at him. I smiled at him he knew I was missing him.

"Ace your done right?" He asked Ace. "Yeah." Ace said. "Okay go play a little more were going to leave in a little bit." He told Ace.

Once Ace got up and left he patted Aces seat for me to sit in. He moved Aces plate and put mine in front of me again so I could eat.

He pulled my chair closer to him kissing my head. I grabbed his hand under the table placing it on top of my lap while eating the rest of my food.

Emma got out of her seat sitting on Nicks lap kissing him all over the face. I felt embarrassed for her she was trying really hard to make Caleb jealous but he wasn't even paying attention to her.

"You guys want to come play pool. There's other games that the girls can play too." Matteo suggested. "You got the same room like Caleb?" Zane asked.

"Mine is definitely better than his." Caleb said. "Yeah right wait till you see mine." Matteo replied. We all got up to follow Matteo. He walked us through his hallway all the way to the end to the room he was talking about.

I was holding Caleb's finger instead of his whole hand following close behind him while we looked around the room. "I have to admit your game room is nice but Caleb has way more games than you do Matteo." Zane compared them.

"I told you Matteo." Caleb said smiling in victory. "Nick has a game room in his house too with a liquor bar." Emma said. "I was thinking about putting a liquor bar in here too." Matteo replied looking at Nick.

"You should me and my friends love it." Nick said. "Caleb's game room is crazy you guys need to come see it. He doesn't show it off as much as he should." Aaron said. "If you don't mind Caleb I would like to come over and see it." Nick asked.

I looked up at Caleb to see if he was going to reply or not. "You can come. But she can't." He said bluntly to make it clear he didn't want Emma or Lydia in our house.

Emma's face clearly showed she was embarrassed by Caleb's statement towards her. "Can I ask why she's not allowed?" Nick asked Caleb confused.

"I would tell you but I'm not in the mood to  argue." Caleb simply answered. I smiled to myself proud of him for staying calm instead of letting out his anger like he would have.

He walked away from them going back into the living room to get Ace so we could leave home. "Mom, dad are we going home now I'm tired?" Ace asked us.

"We are Ace." Caleb confirmed picking him up to carry him noticing how tired he was. "Alright Matteo were heading out we had a great time." Caleb told Matteo.

"Thanks for coming Caleb Isabella really appreciates your help." Matteo said walking us all out the door. "I'm leaving back to Italy tomorrow you guys should come visit when you get the chance." Matteo suggested.

"I'll consider it Matteo have a safe flight." Caleb replied buckling Ace in the car. "Bye guys." Angelo said waving goodbye to all of us. We all waved goodbye before we drove off to go home.

Caleb let me hold his hand while he drove us home. I traced his tattoos on his arm and fingers to pass the time quicker. I couldn't wait to get home so I could cuddle with Caleb because he didn't let me or Ace cuddle with him yesterday.
