Chapter 61. Getting Matteos daughter back

Aria POV
Caleb didn't come to bed with me last night because they figured out where Matteo's daughter was.

They were currently getting ready to leave. Loading their weapons and going over the plan once more so everyone understood and didn't mess up.

Me and Layla were both worried in the living room trying to keep Ace and Max company so they didn't notice that Aaron and Caleb were leaving.

My Anxiety was already starting and Caleb didn't even leave yet. I felt sick to my stomach. I hated when he left me I was so attached to him that it was so hard for me to let him leave me.

My tears were welling up in my eyes. I got up from the couch without even thinking I walked into Caleb's office. All the men that were in his office looked at me but my teary eyes were focused on Caleb.

He looked at me noticing my tears rolling down my face right away. I walked towards him where he was standing next to his desk in his office with Matteo and Zane. He picked me up letting me cry on his shoulder.

He didn't even have to ask me what was wrong he already knew I couldn't handle him leaving me. He walked out of his office with me taking me into the kitchen so we were alone.

He put me down on the kitchen counter trying to wipe my tears away from my face. Instead of talking to me like he always did to calm me down he just kissed my lips to comfort me instead.

I pulled him closer to me kissing him while my tears continued to stream down my face. My palms were so sweaty i squeezed his shirt pulling away from his lips not being able to kiss him anymore.

"I'm sorry princess." He softly spoke to me wiping my tears again. "I h-hate m-myself. I m-make t-things s-so d-difficult." I cried to him.

"Don't ever say that again about yourself. Your not making anything difficult princess." He kissed my lips again while wiping my tears.

"I'll be okay it won't take long we just have to get his daughter and I should be back home." "P-pinky p-promise m-me y-you'll c-come h-home t-to m-me a-and s-safely."

I held out my pinky for him to promise me while looking into his eyes. He interlocked our pinky's together promising me. "I promise I'll come home to you and safely princess."

He kissed my lips still keeping his pinky interlocked with mine as if to seal the promise. "Don't cry anymore princess. Be a good girl for daddy and go sit with Ace I have to go now."

I kissed his lips once more. "I l-love y-you d-daddy." "I love you more princess." He pecked my lips quickly before putting me back down on my feet again.

I glanced at him one last time before I left into the living room. We made eye contact for a few seconds before he turned around and followed Matteo, Zane, and Aaron outside to leave with all their men.

I went into the bathroom to wash my face so I didn't look like I was just crying. I took a couple of deep breaths trying to ignore the bad feeling I had.

My mind always seemed to overwhelm me with bad thoughts whenever Caleb had to leave me to do something.

I went back into the living room Ace was watching a movie with Layla and Max. "Are you okay Aria?" Layla asked me whispering so Ace didn't hear her. I gave her a thumbs up telling her I was fine.

I laid on the couch with Ace scratching his back for him because I knew he loved when I would give him back scratches while he watched movies.

I wanted to distract him as much as I could because I knew once he noticed Caleb was gone he was going to cry. I wasn't the only one who was attached to Caleb Ace had the same separation anxiety like I did for Caleb.

"Mommy where's dad?" He asked me. "H-he w-went t-to t-the s-store." I lied hoping that I sounded convincing. "Why didn't he bring me with him? I wanted to go too." He complained.

"I-it's o-okay n-next t-time y-you c-can g-go." I pulled his head back kissing his cheek while tickling his sides to distract him. He began to laugh squirming on the couch to get away from me.

Layla and Max laughed at us watching me tickle Ace. "Save me auntie Layla!" He screamed for Layla. I stopped tickling him so Layla could save him. Him and Max started running away from me while I chased them around the house.

Caleb POV
"Matteo and Zane will come with me. Aaron and Jerry will go with the rest of you. Don't fuck up this is a risky move we need to be in and out with Isabella. Do we understand what the plan is?" I asked them.

"Yes sir!" They all said in unison. They all loaded their guns getting out the cars one by one to get into position for the plan. "Caleb be careful." Aaron said. "You be careful too."

We all went our separate ways like I said to do. Zane broke down the door throwing in a smoke grenade so we could all go inside without being noticed.

We all had our masks on so we could breath through the smoke. Shots began to go off in every which direction. Matteo's men and mine shooting through the path so we could get to where they were keeping Isabella locked away.

"Isabella is in the next room over!" Zane yelled to us so we could hear. Me and Matteo ran towards the next room Jerry broke it down for us letting us in.

Isabella was tied up laying on the bed unconscious with tape over her mouth. "Isabella Tesoro (sweetheart) wake up please." Matteo said taking off the tape from her mouth.

She slowly started waking up crying while Matteo frantically untied her hands from the ropes they tied her wrists in behind her back. "Everything is okay Isabella. Let's go home." Matteo told her.

"Go with Matteo back to the house Jerry don't let anything happen to them." Jerry picked up Isabella from the bed running out the room with Matteo back to the cars.

I ran back to the entrance we came In from to get Aaron and Zane so we could leave. "Let's go!" I yelled to Zane over the loud gun shots. "Where's Aaron?" I asked Zane. "I don't know!" He yelled back.

"Caleb!" I heard someone yell behind me. I turned around Antonino pointing his gun at me 6 feet away from me. "Where's Matteo? I didn't expect your ass to come do his fucking rescuing." Antonino yelled.

"He's gone. You shouldn't have fucked with him." "You have no business being here Caleb. This had nothing to do with you." He said cocking back the gun.

"What are you gonna do about it Antonino." I challenged him smiling at him to piss him off even more. "I'm not scared of you Caleb." I laughed I could see he was nervous.

"You should be." Someone shot behind me I turned around to see who it was. Zane dropped to the floor getting shot by one of Antonino men.

"Caleb! Watch out!" Aaron yelled running towards me with his gun pointed at Antonino. By the time I tried to dodge his bullet it was too late. I felt two bullets pierce straight through my chest.

I saw Aaron shoot Antonino in the head before I fell to the ground beside Zane. Aria and Ace flashed before my eyes. I could feel the blood gushing out of my chest before I went unconscious.
