Zane POV
Murder scene. That's how Caleb's basement looked. Vladimir's, Viktor, and Lucas heads were hanging off of their necks not completely cut off. Every single one of their hands were cut off from their wrists and placed in a cooler to keep fresh.
Blood.
The basement reeked of blood and decaying flesh you could hardly breathe in here. Caleb had blood all over his clothes and arms. He looked insane but with a satisfied smile on his face because he killed every single one of them.
Even if they didn't hurt Aria we all knew Caleb enjoyed killing people, he craved to kill and cause people pain he loved it. It was like an addiction that he couldn't get over.
When I met him when we lived in London he was 17 a senior in high school everyone in the school was scared of him. He just got to the school and everyone knew who he was even I did because of his bad reputation.
At the time he didn't kill people but you could tell he was waiting for the right moment to get his first kill. He had the eyes of a devil and a heart as cold as ice.
He was people's worst nightmare yet for Aria he was her dream catcher. He protected that girl from everything and anything even her horrible nightmares.
He sat down on one of the chairs wiping his bloody hands with a clean towel. "Caleb let me go please." Sage cried chained up by her arms and legs from the ceiling next to the dead bodies of the Russians she worked with undercover.
"No bitch." Caleb simply replied ignoring her pleads. He kept her alive because he had one last thing he wanted her to do before he finished her off. He also wanted to torture her as much as he could before putting her out of her misery.
"Give me a cigarette Zane." He told me. I pulled out my cigarettes handing him the lighter and a cigarette. He leaned back in his seat smoking his cigarette quietly zoning out as if he was thinking about something.
I sat next to Aaron turning on a cigarette for myself as well as we sat quietly together. "Want one?" I offered Aaron a cigarette. "Don't tell Layla." He told me as he took a cigarette from me turning it on with my lighter to smoke.
"She doesn't like you smoking?" I asked him curiously. "No she says it's bad for my health." He explained. I smiled at him as he blew out the smoke from his mouth enjoying his cigarette.
"She's smart." I complimented her. "That's why I love her." He replied smiling happily. "She's going to definitely kill me for smoking." He said knowingly making me laugh.
"Abigail likes you smoking?" He asked me. "She smokes too guess you could say she doesn't care." I told him. "A perfect match if you ask me." He said smiling complimenting mine and Abigail's relationship.
We both looked over to Caleb who was smiling to himself completely oblivious of us staring at him or having a whole conversation in front of him.
"He can't wait to bring Aria back home." Aaron said to me as we looked at him smiling to himself. I waved my hand in front of Caleb's face to get his attention.
"You good?" I asked him to make sure even tho I knew he was the happiest man right now for finally ending this fight over his wife and because he could safely bring his kids and wife back home tomorrow.
"I'm good." He replied getting up from his seat placing the cigarette between his lips. "I'm gonna go shower." He told us as he let out the smoke from his nose.
"Don't sneak out and leave to Matteo's house for Aria now." Aaron said in a joking way making us laugh. "I won't it's just one more day anyway." He said smiling as if he couldn't wait for the night to be over and it to be morning already.
