2 weeks later...

Ace POV
"Ace wake up." Max shook me awake. I sat up on the hospital chair I fell asleep my neck straining from sleeping so uncomfortably. "Where's my mom?" I asked him as I looked around the room.

"She's with your dad." He answered me. "Did he wake up?" I asked him. "No she just wanted to be next to him." He explained to me. "I'm gonna go check on her." I told him.

I got up from my chair walking out of the waiting room to go down the hall to my dad's hospital room. I opened the door quietly walking inside with Max following behind me.

My mom was sitting in the chair sleeping with her head laying on the edge of the bed next to my dad while holding his hand. Her hand was so small compared to my dad's.

My mom was really small compared to all of us especially to my dad. When she was standing next to him she looked like a midget next to him because of how tall he was.

She was crying so much that even as she slept now small tears were falling from her eyes. I hated seeing her like this. It was hard seeing her sad like this when she had to be separated from my dad when I was six years old at the time.

I was really starting to get worried about her. She was getting really depressed since she found out my dad was in a coma. She barely ate anything or rarely left this room. All she wanted to do was be near my dad nothing else.

I was really scared that she was going to try and hurt herself while we were all busy with something that's why I haven't left the hospital at all. Because I didn't trust leaving her alone on her own here.

I walked towards her to pick her up and carry her to the spare hospital room Ron gave us so she could sleep in. I started picking her up that's when I noticed my dad's hand curl around her small hand as if to tell me to stop.

"I think your dad wants her to stay Ace." Max whispered to me noticing the same thing I saw my dad do when I tried to pick up my mom. I smiled moving away from my mom.

I watched as my mom held onto his hand tighter and he curled his hand more securely over hers as if telling me and Max to leave that he didn't want mom going anywhere or leaving his side.

Happiness filled my heart watching him be so protective over mom even when he was unconscious. I turned around walking out of the room with Max so they could be alone again.

Dad obviously didn't want anyone but mom near him. I hope he woke up soon and remembers all of us caused I really don't think mom will be able to handle him not remembering her.

"You wanna come with me to get my mom some clothes to change into and so I can shower and stuff?" I asked Max as we walked towards the exit of the hospital. "Sure." He answered.

His dad and mom went home already with my siblings to keep them calm. They were still too young to process what was going on they just knew our dad wasn't okay.

The man that crashed into my dad's car is fine but my dad isn't and that's because my dad's car flipped over and caused him to have a severe concussion from the impact of the accident.

Was I mad that the man who crashed into him was alive and fine? Hell yeah I was mad I was pissed off that he got to go home the same night it happened and went home to his family safe and sound.

While me and my sibling and our mom had to stay in a hospital for two weeks now suffering and praying that our dad would wake up from his coma and remember every single one of us.

I wanted to find the bastard and fucking kill him for driving so recklessly and crashing into my dad. I didn't have time for that now I needed to make sure my mom didn't disappear and hurt herself while no one was watching over her.
