Chapter 6. Calebs phone call

Aria POV
I walked back into the kitchen hearing my phone ring. "Mommy! Daddy's calling." Ace screamed handing me the phone to answer.

I was so excited to answer the phone my hands were shaking. I could barely manage to press the button to answer the call.

I put my phone standing up facing Ace so he could see Caleb on FaceTime. "I miss you dad when are you coming home?" Ace asked him as soon as he seen Caleb's face.

"I should be home this Saturday I miss you too Ace." He answered him smiling at him. "Mommy took me to the park today." Ace explained to him taking a bite of his cookie.

"Did you have fun?" He asked him. "Yeah but this kid pushed me and I punched him and mommy called his mom the B-word." My whole face turned red when he snitched me out.

"Daddy taught you well I'm gonna have to teach you a few more lessons when I get home." He replied like he didn't hear what Ace told him. "Yay! I love learning how to fight." Ace responded keenly.

"I love you Ace are you being good to your mom?" He asked him sternly. "Yeah I've been good to mommy I promise." He told him.

"Where is your mom give her the phone Ace." "She's right here." Ace told him handing me the phone.

I grabbed the phone taking Aces plate to put in the sink trying to avoid looking at him. "Stop avoiding me princess and look at the phone I miss you." He demanded.

I looked at the phone blushing softly as I stared at his handsome face. "You look beautiful princess." He complimented making me blush even more.

I watched Ace go Into the living room probably to go watch a cartoon. "What did you do today princess?" He asked me curiously.

"N-nothing I m-made A-Ace b-breakfast a-and t-took h-him t-to t-the p-park a-and n-now h-he's e-eating c-cookies a-and w-watching c-cartoons."

I silently prayed he would forget about what Ace told him I said at the park. "Did you eat today?" He asked a question I was also trying to avoid answering.

I nodded my head smiling to convince him. "Your lying princess." "I c-can't e-eat w-without y-you I-it's h-hard I-I'm t-trying d-daddy."

He gave me a disappointed look. "I know you are princess but you can't starve yourself princess." He explained trying to make me understand.

"Make a sandwich I'll make one too and we can eat together on camera." I smiled standing up my phone again so I could make the sandwich for me and Ace.

I took Ace his sandwich. "D-do y-you w-want t-to s-sit I-in t-the k-kitchen w-with m-me a-and d-daddy?" I asked Ace but he nodded his head no. "I wanna watch my cartoon." I let him be walking back into the kitchen.

I sat down watching Caleb make his sandwich. "Ready princess?" I nodded my head taking a bite of my sandwich. "Good girl." He praised when I took another bite.

We talked and ate together it was like he was sitting in front of me but every time I looked around the kitchen I was brought back to reality that he wasn't here.

"A-are y-you r-really g-gonna b-be h-here s-Saturday." I asked him needing to know getting upset about this again. "Yeah I will be home Saturday princess." He replied confirming.

"I m-miss y-you d-daddy." I complained feeling moody now. "I miss you too princess I'll be home soon." He said trying to make me feel better. "Y-yeah I-in f-four d-days t-that's t-too l-long f-for m-me t-to w-wait."

I complained again getting bratty. "Princess." He said in a warning tone. "W-what?" I said rolling my eyes crossing my arms. "What did I say about rolling your eyes?" He asked sternly but I stayed quiet pouting at him.

"Roll your eyes again I dare you. Your really starting to test my patience little one." I looked away from the phone annoyed with him.

"I'm letting you know now princess when I get home your ass is mine." He said almost a little too promisingly.

"Y-you c-can't d-do t-that." I said even tho I knew very well that he could and would punish me as soon as he got home.

"You know I can princess and I can promise you right now I won't be gentle with the way you keep testing me." He always found a way to put me in my place.

"W-whatever." I simply said. "Keep giving me that attitude princess all you want your just making it worse for yourself." I rolled my eyes again handing Ace the phone so he could talk to him a little.

I went upstairs to get Aces bath ready so I could put him to bed. I made sure the water was warm enough and wouldn't burn him. Making it bubbly with a few toys inside so he could play with while taking a bath.

"Mommy, daddy wants to tell you something." I heard Ace say from his bedroom. I dried my hands with his towel grabbing the phone from him. "G-go g-get I-in t-the b-bath." I told him before I looked at the phone.

"Don't think I didn't see you roll your eyes before you gave Ace the phone princess it's okay tho just wait till I get home. I just wanted to tell you I love you and goodnight." I blushed softly. "I l-love y-you t-too d-daddy g-goodnight."

He smiled at me one last time before hanging up the phone. I went back in Aces bathroom to help him bathe himself.

"Daddy's coming home Saturday how long is that mommy?" He asked me while I washed out the soap from his hair.

"F-four d-days." I answered him handing him a wash rag to scrub his body with. "I love you mommy." He said sweetly kissing my cheek.

"I l-love y-you t-too b-baby." I finished washing off his body wrapping him in his towel picking him up so he could put on his clothes.

"W-when y-you g-get d-dressed f-find a b-book y-you w-want m-me t-to r-read y-you." He nodded his head while I went to clean the tub to get his toys out.

When I finished cleaning his tub he was laying in his bed with the book in his hand waiting patiently for me. I laid next to him reading the book to him slowly because of my stuttering.

He snuggled close into me closing his eyes slowly falling asleep as I read the book to him. When I heard his soft light snoring I slowly got out of his bed so he wouldn't wake up kissing his head tucking him in the blanket with his teddy bear.

I slowly tip toed out of his room closing his door softly walking towards my bedroom. I put on Caleb's shirt grabbing an extra one to snuggle with while I slept.

I put Mr Tree and Mr Tinkles on the bed with me covering myself in the blanket. Closing my eyes slowly trying my best to fall asleep so I wouldn't end up crying because of how much I missed Caleb.
