Ace POV
I came home from school usually my dad would be there to pick me up but today he told me he wasn't going to be able to pick me up because he had a meeting.I walked into the house making my way upstairs quickly. "A-Ace!" My mom called for me causing me to stop and look down at her from the stairs. "I m-made y-you y-your f-favorite l-lunch t-today." She told me with a bright smile.
"I'm not hungry mom I'll eat later." I replied to her regretting it instantly when I noticed her smile turn into a frown. "A-are y-you u-upset a-about s-something?" She asked me worriedly.
"No I'm fine mom." I lied I was really angry but I didn't want to worry her and make her feel bad for the reason I was so angry right now. "O-okay d-daddy w-will b-be h-home s-soon." She explained to me smiling warmly at me.
"Okay I'm going to lay down for a little." I told her. "O-okay I love you A-Ace." I smiled at her loving how she learned to say those three words perfectly. I wish she could speak properly like that all the time but I loved my mom either way.
"Love you too mom." I told her as I walked up the rest of the stairs. I walked into my bedroom placing my backpack down on the floor while taking my shoes off.
My phone went off I pulled it out of my pocket so I could check who was texting me. I sat on my bed unlocking my phone noticing an unknown number was texting me.
Text message, unknown: Did you go tell your mommy to take speech therapy?
Anger fueled inside of me even more as I read the message. I knew exactly who was texting me, it was Marcos son Dominic. He's been messing with me since he started going to my school.
Text message, Ace: Who gave you my number Dominic?
I asked him. Whoever gave him my number I was going to beat the shit out of them when I got to school tomorrow.
Text message, Dominic: Don't worry about it paper boy. Worry about your mom going to speech therapy to learn how to talk right already.
He replied. God I wish I was at school right now I would smash his ugly face in the brick wall. This was an ongoing issue I've had with this kid all he did was talk shit about my mom because he knew that pissed me off.
Text message, Dominic: I would be embarrassed if my mom couldn't speak correctly.
Text message, Ace: Leave my mom alone! Your mom and dad wish they could be like mine.
Text message, Dominic: At least my mom can talk properly.
Text message, Ace: At least my mom is always home and not cheating on my dad.
Text message, Dominic: My mom doesn't cheat on my dad she's at work idiot.
Text message, Ace: Sure she is. At least my mom and dad love each other unlike your parents.
Text message, Dominic: My parents do love each other your dad only pities your mom that's why he's with her.
Text message, Ace: Have you not met my dad he doesn't pity anyone the same way he won't pity your dad when he murders him for talking about his wife.
