Chapter 37. Irritating day

Caleb POV
We made it downstairs everyone was in the living room including Lydia. I held Arias hand when we walked inside the living room I could tell she was nervous.

"We have something to tell you guys." I spoke up interrupting their conversations to get their attention. "Ace come here." He came towards me I picked him up grabbing Arias hand again.

"Mommy and me have to tell you something." I explained to him so he would listen as well. "What is it Caleb your giving me a headache from all this waiting." Lydia said making everyone laugh.

"Go ahead whenever you're ready princess." I whispered to Aria kissing her head to encourage her to speak up. She looked at everyone with a small blush. "I-I'm p-pregnant." She said nervously.

"No way! Are you serious right now!" Layla asked in disbelief rushing over to Aria to hug her. "Mommy's having a baby?" Ace asked me smiling happily. "Yeah she is." I confirmed to him.

He got down from my arms hugging Aria. "Mommy you're gonna have a baby is it gonna be a boy?" He asked her with hopeful eyes. "I d-don't k-know A-Ace." She told him honestly.

"At least you didn't forget to tell me this time." Lydia said coming up to me and Aria. "I'm happy for you both." She hugged us both. "T-thank y-you L-Lydia C-Caleb I-is s-sorry f-for n-not t-telling y-you t-the f-first t-time. R-right C-Caleb?"

"Yeah I am nonna you know I am." I said clearing my throat. "Congrats guys." Zane told us ruffling Aces hair. "Thanks Zane." Emma came up to us only looking at me.

She walked up to me a little too close for comfort. I took a few steps back pulling Aria closer to me. "Back up a little Emma." I said calmly. She rolled her eyes at Aria walking away from us completely.

"I'm sorry about her Aria I don't know what's going on with her lately." Zane apologized for her actions noticing how disrespectful she was being towards Aria.

"I-it's f-fine s-she p-probably I-isn't u-used t-to m-me b-being a-around." She told Zane innocently completely oblivious to see that Emma was actually just jealous of her.

"It isn't fine princess. I'm going to give her one more chance if she does anything else to her I'm going off Zane" I warned him getting angry with the way Emma was treating Aria.

I walked away from them going in the kitchen with Aria so I could calm down before I went off on Emma. "D-daddy s-stop y-your s-stressing y-yourself t-too m-much." Aria said trying to calm me down.

"I'm trying not to princess but she's crossing the line now. She's even disrespecting you in front of me she really thinks I won't say anything. I'm giving her one more chance if I hear her say anyt-..." Aria pulled me forward kissing my lips cutting me off from speaking any further.

She had to stand on the tip of her toes to reach me I picked her up so she didn't have to struggle kissing me. She smiled against my lips with a small giggle looking up at me not being able to contain herself. "What's funny?"

"Y-you. I k-kiss y-you o-once a-and y-you c-calm d-down." She explained through laughs. "Well you kissed me what else was I suppose to do besides kiss you back." I asked her but she just shook her head with a small grin.

"Y-your s-so b-bad d-daddy." I kissed her lips again. "Let's go get you that ice cream you wanted." She squealed happily clapping her hands at the mention of ice cream.

"A-Ace!! L-let's g-go g-get I-ice c-cream!" She shouted running back to the living room to get him. "I'm going too." Layla said walking away from Aaron. "You just gonna leave me like that Layla." He said offended.

"Yup I sure am I'm going to get ice cream and you're gonna stay here." Layla teased him grabbing max to come with us too. "You're not leaving me here." Aaron said grabbing Max from her hands.

"Stop arguing all of you are coming let's go already." I told them walking out the door with Aria and Ace so we could leave. "Can uncle Zane come with us please?" Ace asked us.

I knew if Zane came with us Emma was too. "Please dad." He begged again making it harder for me to say no. "Fine go ask him if he wants to come with us." Aria put him down so he could go get him.

Aria noticed how indecisive I was about letting Zane come with us because of Emma. "I-it's o-okay d-daddy I-I'll j-just s-stay a-away f-from h-her." She said trying to ease my nerves down.

I opened her door for her so she could sit down. "You don't have to stay away from anyone princess you did nothing wrong she's just immature and jealous of my beautiful princess." I pecked her lips twice while she smiled at me.

I buckled her in Zane buckled Ace in and Emma sat next to Zane in the back as well. "You guys ready to go?" I asked making sure everyone was in and buckled up. "Yup we're all set." Zane replied.

                            15 minutes later...

We arrived at the ice cream parlor we all got out the car Aria and Ace began to run towards the ice cream shop. "Slow down!" I yelled making both of them stop. Layla ran after them with Max I stood next to Zane, Aaron and Earl while Emma and Sammy walked together.

"Caleb." Lydia called for me. "Yes Nonna." "Is Aria going to be able to handle having another child?" She asked me after she pulled me to the side away from everyone else.

"No offense nonna but my wife is very much capable of having another child. Just because a small problem happened during her first pregnancy doesn't mean she can't have another child. Why are you asking me this nonna?" I asked her getting defensive about Aria.

"Calm down Caleb I just wanted to make sure I wasn't trying to say it in a negative way." She tried to explain herself. "Well now you know. I really thought you would have more faith in Aria but I guess not." I walked away from her getting irritated with her.

I walked inside the ice cream parlor so I could pay for Arias and Aces ice cream. "W-why d-didn't y-you g-get o-one d-daddy?" Aria asked me holding up her ice cream for me to eat.

I tried some of her ice cream. "I lost my appetite it's okay you eat princess." I didn't want to tell her I was irritated because I didn't want to ruin hers and Aces fun.

"I l-love y-you d-daddy." She said pulling at my shirt so I would lean down to kiss her. "I love you too princess."
