Chapter 55. Sneaking out

Aria POV
Tomorrow was Caleb's birthday and I really wanted to get him something for his birthday. I just didn't know how I was going to sneak away without him noticing I'm gone.

Aaron was going to help me and Layla sneak out to go with Jerry to the store to get him his birthday present. "I-I'm k-kinda n-nervous a-about t-this L-Layla." I whispered to Layla while Aaron was talking to Caleb to distract him.

"It's okay Aaron will handle it." She whispered back to me grabbing my hand so we could run to the front door to leave. Jerry opened the car door for us so we could get inside quickly and leave.

My heart was racing against my chest I never snuck away from Caleb like this without him knowing where I was going. "It's okay Aria we will try to be fast." She reassured me knowing how bad my anxiety gets when I'm away from Caleb for too long.

I held her hand trying to keep calm and stop my heart from beating so quickly from nervousness. Jerry drove us towards the mall because it had all the stores so I could pick and choose from all that I wanted to get Caleb for his birthday.

"J-Jerry c-can y-you s-stop t-the c-car I n-need t-to-..." I felt nauseous "stop the car Jerry she's going to throw up." Layla warned him. I opened the car door throwing up on the side of the road.

Layla held my hair back while Jerry got out the car coming towards me to make sure I was okay. "Aria are you sure you can do this?" Jerry asked me worriedly.

He handed me a water bottle when I finished throwing up. I swished the water around in my mouth spitting it back out a few times. "I-I'm f-fine j-just n-nauseous f-from b-being p-pregnant." I explained to him.

"Okay. You ready to go then?" He asked feeling a little better now that i explained to him what was going on with me. "Mhmm." I replied to him. He shut my door for me getting back in the driver seat to continue our drive to the mall.

                             15 minutes later...

We finally arrive at the mall Jerry followed close behind us as we went into all the stores I needed to go to. I bought him a few new ties to wear with his suits and his amazing cologne that I loved. I wanted to do something special for his birthday but I didn't know what to do.

"L-Layla I n-need I-ideas." I complained to her. We walked searching for stores that had something I could buy Caleb. Or gave me an idea to make his birthday special like he's been doing for me since my 19th birthday.

"I know just what you can do for his birthday!" She said suddenly stopping me from walking any further. "W-what?" I asked excited that she came up with an idea.

She wiggled her eye brows pointing towards a lingerie shop right across from us. My cheeks flushed rosy red when I looked at the shop display window. "N-no I c-can't L-Layla I-I'm t-too s-shy f-for t-that." I told her starting to walk away from the shop.

"Come on Aria it's okay if your shy you have a beautiful body Caleb's going to love it. Just try it Aria we can't figure out anything else to do anyway." She reasoned with me trying to convince me.

"At least come and look around with me and if you find something you like then get it but if you don't then we will figure something else out that you can do for his birthday."

She grabbed my hand walking us towards the lingerie shop again. My cheeks heated up the more I looked around at all the sets in all the different colors some revealing so much some covering at least a little.

Layla looked around with me showing me a few to see if it would grab my attention to buy it. A dark red with a black lace on it caught my eye I picked it up Layla noticed it caught my eye and started smiling at me proud of herself for convincing me.

"I c-can't L-Layla A-Ace I-is g-going t-to b-be h-home I d-don't w-want t-to t-traumatize h-him." I said putting the set back on the shelf. "I'll take care of him he can have a sleep over with Max."

She grabbed the set off the shelf again handing it to me to grab from her staring at me with pleading eyes. "I'm telling you; you won't regret it Aria." She said convincingly.

"F-fine b-but a-are y-you s-sure y-you c-can w-watch A-Ace?" I asked her to make sure. "Yes Aria I love taking care of Ace he's so sweet. Just buy it already I can already see you trying to change your mind again."

She pushed me toward the counter to pay for it quickly before I changed my mind again. I payed for it Layla grabbed the bag for me with a huge smile on her face.

I got a text message on my phone from Caleb Layla eyes widened as she looked at the message on my phone. "Don't reply were going back home now Aaron knows what to do."

I put my phone away as we speed walked with Jerry behind us to the car so we could go home before Caleb ended up killing or hurting Aaron for letting me leave without his knowledge.

We got in the car Jerry practically raced us back home so we could get there fast before Caleb ended up coming himself to pick me up. He would find out where I was somehow there was no stopping him from finding me.

15 minutes later...

We arrived at home Layla grabbed the bags for me to hide them so Caleb didn't notice them. Caleb was standing in front of the front door with an angry expression on his face "who told you; you could leave the house without telling me princess?"

His voice was hoarse and dominant I didn't know how to explain myself to him. I couldn't figure out a lie I couldn't even lie to him my face gave me away right away.

"Caleb Layla needed some help with something at my house don't be mad at her it's my fault." Aaron said making up a lie for me.

"Yeah please don't be mad at her Caleb. It's my fault I was rushing her to get in the car before she could tell you." Layla said backing up Aaron's lie to make it believable.

"Why didn't you answer my message when I texted you?" He asked me with a softer tone now. "I w-was g-going t-to a-answer b-but w-we w-were a-already c-coming h-home." I explained to him trying my best to keep my eyes on him so he wouldn't see that I was lying.

"Your lying to me princess I'll let this go because your safe and you were at Aaron's house. Don't you dare lie to me again princess." He pulled me in for a hug kissing the top of my head.

"Ace was asking for you he's in the kitchen waiting for you. I love you princess." He kissed my cheek softly letting me go inside the house. I kissed his chest before I walked inside the house giving Aaron and Layla a thankful smile for helping me.
