Aria POV
After we made it to London we all went to bed Zane stayed the night with us because Ace didn't want him to leave yet.I woke up very early because I kept having nightmares so I just gave up on trying to sleep. I decided I would make everyone breakfast before they woke up.
I made waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, and a small fruit salad. I basically made a whole feast for them. While I was making Caleb and Zane their cup of coffee I felt Caleb's presence come up behind me.
He wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me back into his chest. "Good morning princess." He said in his sleepy voice kissing the side of my neck. "G-good m-morning d-daddy." I replied turning around to face him.
I laid my hands flat against his bare chest standing on my tippy toes to kiss under his chin because I was too short to reach his lips.
I handed him his coffee with a small smile. "Thank you princess the food smells amazing." He complimented.
"Y-you e-eat I-I'm g-gonna g-go w-wake A-Ace u-up." I told him. He nodded his head watching me go upstairs to Aces room.
I walked upstairs making my way down the hall to Aces bedroom. I opened Aces room quietly so I wouldn't wake him up so suddenly.
I softly kissed his cheek and forehead waking him up slowly. "W-wake u-up A-Ace m-mommy m-made y-you y-your f-favorite c-chocolate c-chip w-waffles." I said to encourage him to wake up.
"Five more minutes please mommy." He pleaded sleepily. "B-but Z-Zane I-is w-waiting f-for y-you t-to w-wake u-up." I said knowing that would convince him. He sat up rubbing his eyes before getting out the bed.
"I'll be down in a second mommy tell uncle Zane not to leave please." "O-okay." I replied walking out his room to go back downstairs. Zane was sitting at the table with Caleb and his coffee making himself a plate of food.
I noticed Caleb wasn't eating I knew he didn't like to eat in the morning so I didn't bother him. I pulled out my chair so I could sit down I made myself a plate and Ace so when he got downstairs he could start eating.
"My sister wants you to come over so she can see you. It's okay if you don't want to go." Zane said to Caleb. "Well I have to drop you off there so I guess it's alright. Right princess?" He asked me to make sure.
"Y-yeah s-sure." I smiled happily to meet Zane's sister. Ace soon joined us eating next to Zane. He really liked being around Zane he even started calling him his favorite uncle I knew it made Zane happy when he first heard Ace call him that.
"You got everything you need so we can go?" Caleb asked Zane. "Yeah." "Okay let me just grab a shirt and we can go." Caleb said going upstairs to our bedroom to get a shirt quickly.
We all got in the car while Caleb went to get his shirt. "Okay let's go." Caleb said when he got in the car. I looked out the window at the local people walking around and the neighborhood we drove by .
20 minutes later...
Caleb parked the car in front of a huge house that looked almost like Caleb's but this one was a cream white color. I followed close behind Caleb gripping the end of his shirt while Zane held Aces hand.
We walked inside the house a girl with similar features as Zane came rushing downstairs hugging Zane. "I missed you Zane!" She said while hugging him.
She turned around staring at me and Ace with a confused emotionless expression not even bothering to introduce herself to us. She hugged Caleb smiling at him with a small blush. "This is Caleb's wife and son Ace." Zane introduced us.
"I know I heard." She said without looking at us. Caleb pulled away from her embrace giving her a small smile. He pulled me and Ace closer to him "I haven't seen you since you left London." She said to Caleb.
"I had things to do Emma." He said while we all followed Zane to their living room. "I know I just didn't expect you to leave for almost 8 years." Emma said sitting next to Caleb.
I sat on the other couch near Caleb with Ace in my lap Caleb held my hand while talking to her and Zane. "Mommy can you come with me in the car so I can go get my toy please?" Ace asked me.
I agreed feeling out of place because I didn't have anything to relate or say in their conversation. I got up with Ace from the couch so we could go. "Where are you going princess?" Caleb asked me.
"A-Ace l-left h-his t-toy I-in t-the c-car." I explained to him. "Sit princess I'll go get it." He told me I wanted to tell him no but he already left the living room.
I sat back down with Ace playing with Aces fingers to save me from this awkward silence. "How old are you Ace?" She asked Ace but Ace stayed quiet for a moment feeling nervous talking to a new person.
I kissed his cheek encouraging him to speak up "I'm four but I'm turning five next week." He explained to her shyly. "Mommy and daddy are gonna make me a big birthday party." "That's awesome are we invited?" She asked him.
"I know uncle Zane is but I don't know if you are." He answered her grabbing the toy from Caleb's hands. "Dad can uncle Zane's sister come to my birthday party?" He asked Caleb.
"If mommy's okay with it then yes." He replied smiling at me warmly. "Can she mommy?" I looked at Emma she was already staring at me with an almost disgusted expression.
"S-sure w-why n-not." I said nervously feeling even more uncomfortable than I already was. "I'll be there Ace don't worry." She told Ace smiling at him while he smiled back at her.
I was used to people not liking me or wanting to be friends with me because of my stuttering. I guess being around Caleb and Aaron and Layla made me forget what this horrible feeling felt like.
I wanted to run and hide in a corner to forget how this feeling felt not liking it one bit. I felt like I wanted to cry and I hated that because I didn't deserve to feel that way.
I was way too nice for my own good and that's what made me feel even worse about myself because I didn't know how to control my emotions when I felt like someone didn't like me.
I felt like all my bad childhood memories came back reminding me of how horrible I felt when I couldn't make any friends because of my stuttering. "Let's go princess." I heard Caleb say pulling me from my thoughts.
I got up not even bothering to say goodbye to anyone just wanting to be gone from there as soon as possible.
I got inside our car trying my hardest to hold back tears and stop feeling this horrible feeling. Sometimes I hated myself for being so sensitive to things like this.
