Aria POV
I sat with Layla and my kids in the living room while Layla and her daughter Avery who was sleeping soundlessly. "Aaron got me some really pretty tulips for Valentine's Day." Layla told me.

She pulled out her phone so she could show me the flowers Aaron got her. "See, and he got me some delicious chocolates and other gifts too." She explained with a huge smile as I looked at the pretty light purple tulips Aaron got her.

"Did Caleb get you anything?" She asked me. "N-no." I told her with a little disappointment that he didn't get me anything. "I thought Caleb would be the first one to get you something." She said surprised.

"Did he forget that it's Valentine's Day?" She asked more to herself. "I'm sorry Aria I didn't mean to show off I thought Caleb would have remembered." She apologized feeling bad.

I smiled at her reassuringly. "D-don't f-feel b-bad I-I'm j-just h-happy t-that I-I'm h-home. A-and C-Caleb a-always s-spoils m-me." I told her so she wouldn't feel bad.

"I'm sure he will remember." She said reassuringly. "If he doesn't remember I'll beat him with my shoe for forgetting." She added making me laugh.

She hugged me making me smile. "I can be your valentine for now until he remembers." She told me making me smile even more.

"We're gonna make him regret forgetting, he's gonna be so jealous when he finds out I'm your valentine." She said revengefully. "Y-your s-so b-bad L-Layla." She laughed as I smiled at her craziness.

Her and Caleb didn't get along that well but then again Caleb didn't get along with any woman because he didn't trust them nor did he feel safe around another woman other than me because of what his mother did.

But Layla understood his boundaries and knew how to handle him when he said or acted cold towards her or said something mean to her.

I haven't seen or heard Caleb say anything mean to her probably because of me and because he respected Aaron too. Layla was a very good friend I loved her a lot I seen her as a sister that I never thought I would need.

"Mom can you make us some cookies?" Matt asked me. "S-sure b-baby." He smiled happily raising his hands up in the air out of happiness and joy. "Mommy said yes!" He shouted to his brothers and sister.

"Shhh A-Avery I-is s-sleeping." I told him which he quickly went quiet. "Sorry auntie Layla." He apologized quietly. "It's okay." She assured him.

I got up from the couch Layla pushed the small stroller Avery was sleeping in to follow me to the kitchen. "Mommy can I help you make cookies?" Nova asked me. "Y-yeah." She clapped her hands happily just like I would do when I was happy.

I picked her up sitting her down on the kitchen counter so she could reach everything with ease. Layla sat across from us on the stool while rocking Avery in her stroller to sleep nicely.

I got all the ingredients I needed placing them all on the kitchen counter next to Nova. I got a bowl, spatula, and measuring cups and spoons to measure all my ingredients as I put them in the bowl for Nova to mix together for me.

"Nova!" Reid called for her worriedly. "I'm in the kitchen Reid." She answered him. Reid and her were very close just like Aiden and Matt were but all of them were together and inseparable from one another.

Reid walked into the kitchen towards me and Nova with a curious expression on his face. "I wanna help too mommy." He explained to me. I picked him up on the counter just like I did for Nova.

They both took turns mixing everything together for me so we could make the cookies. "Mommy do we have heart cookie cutters?" Nova asked me. "Y-yeah w-we h-have a-all k-kinds." I answered her.
