When I woke up the next morning Daryl was no longer next to me. He must've woken up already. I sat up on my mattress and stretched out. I turned my head towards the stairs, and could see a group huddling around a table. I decided to get up and see what all the fuss is about. As I approached I saw the table was full of all types of weapons. There were knives, guns, a bunch of ammunition, and grenades. Ooo I could do some damage with those grenades. I bit my lip and smiled. I looked over at my father. "You went to the armory without me?" He nodded. "Why? I wanted to go."

My father laughed and rolled his eyes. "I thought you could use some sleep." I looked at him and blankly said. "Hell no. Sleep is for the weak. I would've jumped at the opportunity to go with you to grab these sexy things." I said while picking up an M4. The contents on this table are what wet dreams are made of. I looked up and everyone looked around me looked uncomfortable. "What?" I asked.

"We don't really need to know what turns you on Nora." Glenn said. My eyes widened in horror as I realized what he meant. They all just heard what I said, even though I thought I was just thinking it. No wonder my father looks the most uncomfortable here. "I ummm, I said that did I?" I was quickly trying to figure out how to ease myself away from this awkwardness when I saw the next table was full of riot gear. "Oh, what is this?!" I almost yelled as I walked over to the other table.

I picked up a helmet off the table with all of the riot gear, turning it over to see that there was a bunch of geek goo spilling out onto the floor, When the smell hit my nose I almost vomited. Daryl walked over and inspected all the gear before saying. "I ain't wearing this shit." I am in agreement there, I am never again touching any of this shit. "Me either Robin Hood."

"Maybe we could boil 'em?" T-dog suggested. I looked at him in disgust. "T you could boil these things a thousand times, I'm still never putting these anywhere near my body. We've gotten this far without them. If ya'll want to wear them, that's your prerogative."

I walked back over to the weapons table, and started grabbing some for today's adventure of trying to find the cafeteria and infirmary. When my father walked up beside me. "Nora, I don't want you coming with us today." I laughed and continued grabbing stuff. "I'm serious." I then looked up at him in shock. I then asked. "Are you serious?" He nodded. "I'm coming." I said blankly.

"No you're not. I need you here to take care of everyone in that cell block in case anything happens." His comment made me tense up. If anything happens out there, they'll need me. I was about to say something when Carl came up behind me and grabbed a small gun on the table. My father was quick to scold him. "Carl, you're not coming either."

"You're kidding."

My father looked at the both of us and said, "We don't know what's in there. If something goes wrong, I need you both to handle things here."

Carl begrudgingly agreed to our father's wishes but I was still standing strong. "Dad, if anything goes wrong you'll need me. Let me come. If you don't let me come with you I may just end up following you anyway."

My father let out a heavy sigh. "Fine, but while we're in there you listen to me. No risky shit. Got it?" I nodded as my father threw Carl his key set. "Great. Let's go."

My father and I led the way towards another cell block. Daryl was right behind us with Maggie, Glenn, T-dog, and Hershel. We all had to pull out flashlights because the hallways are so dark, we couldn't even see a whole foot in front of us without them. In one hand I had a knife, in the other I had my flashlight. There were dead bodies everywhere I looked. Some were propped up against the wall while others were just laying on the floor. I made sure to be careful, just because they look dead, it doesn't mean they actually are.
