There was absolutely no hesitation. None

After discovering that Alpha and her bumbling band of baboons are back, I ran to Oceanside, got my kids packed up and we got our asses back to Alexandria. Making sure my children are safe is my number one priority.

Soon after arriving back home though, we started getting hit with wave after wave after wave of geeks. It's obvious that Alpha is sending them. If these were normal herds, we would've been able to stop fighting by now. But we haven't been able to.

Fighting the geeks hasn't left much time fore Siddiq and I to talk about what happened between us, or I guess more importantly the question he was going to ask me. He keeps trying to talk to me, but right now I'm too focused of making sure our community stays safe. So I've been fighting non stop.

Everyone thinks I should take a break and get a few hours of sleep, but I can't. Siddiq, and Seb don't know this, but I swiped some pills from the infirmary. They're to help me stay awake. I need to stay awake to help kill the geek hordes that are coming for us. But I also need to stay awake because Alpha could be searching for my daughter, and I won't let that bitch take her again.

It's been a little over two days and we're still fighting geeks. I don't know how much longer this can continue. I'm worn out. Everyone else in Alexandria is tired as well. We also have Eugene on the lookout now, watching out for the herds to try and figure out how much time we have in-between them.

"How long do we have 'til the next wave hits?" Dad asked Eugene.

"One hour from the north, two from the south." Eugene replied. "Northern wave's thicker than fleas on a farm dog, but the southern is more dispersed. By my estimation, we'll be fighting into the night again."

"Fan-fucking-tastic." I groaned before bringing my hand up to my aching head. This lack of sleep is making my head throb.

"Yeah, can't push them too much further." Daryl commented as he walked up beside me.

"I know, Daryl! I have eyes!" I spat at him, but instantly felt bad. This isn't me. I don't just blow up at people for no reason. Well, sometimes I do. But usually it's provoked. Daryl didn't do anything to earn my rage today. "I- I'm sorry. I'm just tired."

"We all are." He reassured me while putting a hand on my shoulder. "When's the last time ya slept."

"Got two hours last night." I said before pressing my lips into a thin line. Instead of replying he looked at me in a way that told me that he knew I was lying.

I shook my head at him before going to walk away from him, but not even five seconds later he walked up to me again and said, "Hey, heads up." before pointing. He was pointing at one of Alpha's skin crawlers marching our way.

We both walked towards the gate where this freak is trying to meet us. She stood in front of us and all I wanted to do was kill her now. But knowing that might piss Alpha off, I didn't. She then spoke to Daryl and I. "The north border. Now."

"Then call off your geeks." I growled.

She looked slightly confused by what I called the 'walkers' until she finally understood and shook her head. "Not us."

"Yeah, right." Daryl scoffed at the heinous being in front of us.

"Not. Us." She emphasized while repeating her previous words. "Go to the border, lay down your weapons, and wait."

"And what the hell are we waiting for?" I snapped at her while taking a step forward, but Daryl threw his hand out in front of me to stop me from tossing my first in this freaks mask covered face.
