"Nora Mae!"

I heard Hudson's irritating voice as I entered my house. I was really hoping that I wouldn't have to deal with him tonight since I had gotten back so late. I should've known better. This man would stay up for 72 hours straight if it meant he got to do the one thing that brought him any semblance of joy in this world. Terrorizing me.

"Do you have any idea what time it is young lady? You're mother and I have been worried sick about you!"

Ummm no they haven't been. The only thing Hudson would be worried about is if I never came back. Then he's have to find a new punching bag. And clearly my mother doesn't give a rats ass where I am or how I am, because if she did I would never be subjected to the torture that I am faced to endure every day.

I tried to brush past him, and head towards my room, but he grabbed my arm and yanked me towards him. "Where the fuck have you been!?"

"Out." That's all he needed to know. He didn't deserve to know where I was or who I was with.

"With who?" He snarled at me. I stayed silent, again it's not his business. The next thing I knew I felt his palm collide with my face making me wince in pain. "Speak when you're spoken to Bitch!"

"I was alone. I wasn't with anyone." Which was a complete lie. I had stayed after school for a musical I'm in, then after rehearsal Glenn met me and we went the lake. He always knew how much I hated being home, and did everything in his power to keep me away from here for as long as possible, but I still had to come back every night. He always offers to have me stay at his house and I know his parents wouldn't mind, but Hudson would. I know that if I just so happen to not go home, my punishment with Hudson would be far worse.

"Liar! You were with that Chinese kid again weren't you!" He screamed in my face. His face and mine were mere inches apart, so I could feel his spit flying out of his mouth with every word he spat at me. "I told you I don't like that boy! You are never to see him again!"

"He's Korean asshole." Was all I could say before I felt Hudson's hand in my hair giving it a rough yank.

"What did I say about talking to me like that?" He pulled on my hair roughly.

"Fuck you." I then gathered all of the saliva in my mouth, and spit on him. I could tell by the look in his eyes that I had just fucked up and I would regret it.

He then grabbed both my wrists so tightly in his one hand that they were bound to bruise. He then led me to the basement door, and that is when I realized how deep of shit I was currently in. He pushed me down the stairs, great so now all of me will be bruised, not just my wrists.

My mother followed Hudson down the stairs, and gave me a look of pity. If she really felt bad that this was happening to me, she would say something or we would run away together. Instead she chooses to just stand there and watch as her child gets beaten by her husband.

Hudson glared at me and then turned to my mother. "Chain her up Gwen."

Oh no, not again. My mother approached me and grabbed my arm to drag me over to the chains hanging from the ceiling. Once I was directly below them, my mother forced me up, and locked my wrists in the cuffs. She walked away from me mumbling the words, "I'm sorry."

I ignored her and turned my attention to Hudson who was approaching me again, He had a whip in one hand. I then started pleading. "No please. I'm sorry!" I was crying, I knew no matter how much I cried, apologized, or pleaded this was still going to happen, but I had to try.
