By pure luck, we found Avalon a few hours ago. I had ran right up to her, relieved that she is still alive and threw all of my love at her. I was expecting for my sweet little girl to hug me back, tell me she missed me, tell me she loved me, or I guess even just show me love in return but there was nothing.

Even after showing Daryl that our little girl is still alive, I thought she would finally open up. She once said that Daryl was her favorite person in this world, so if anybody could get her to talk it would be him. But I was wrong.

I know something bad happened to her in our months apart. She was with Alpha, of course something happened. Avalon was already going to be traumatized by being forced to watch her family die. Siddiq is barely holding onto his sanity, so what does that say for a little girl.

But our cold reunification with our daughter told us that she is more than just traumatized. She's completely changed. Whatever Alpha did destroyed our sweet little girl. It was like she no longer trusted us, or anyone at all.

I just want to hold her in my arms and tell her everything will be okay, but she won't even look at me. She won't even look at Daryl. I want to help her, but I have no clue how. Until she starts opening up about what happened to her, I have no clue what I'm supposed to do.

The group of us were now about to start walking through Alpha's territory so we could get to Hilltop. But the location of where we needed to cut through her territory was already making it hard for me to move or even breathe.

The pikes that our loved ones heads were shoved on were still up, obviously without the heads. I don't think I'd be able to look into my daughters dead eyes again, so we made sure to bury everyone who died here.

As we were walking through the pikes, I noticed Avalon stopped moving with us. I tapped Daryl on the shoulder and we both stared at her curiously until she spoke. "We're going though her land?" She asked us and we both nodded. "Are you stupid?" She growled at us. "She will kill us all."

"We have to, Avie." I tried explaining to our daughter. It's the fastest way to Hilltop and then home. She doesn't need to know we were here. She won't know."

"Why do you think that? 'Cause she took her freaks away from here to stay out of the cold?" Avalon scoffed at us. "No. She'll know."

"Did ya just say she left?" Daryl questioned Avalon.

"Yeah, but she'll be back." Avalon sighed as she glanced at the pikes worriedly.

"Then she won't know we were ever here." Daryl stated before waving us in the direction we need to go in. "Come on."

"She'll know." Avalon told us again. She then stared at the pikes while slightly rocking back and forth and repeating the same thing over and over. "She'll know. She'll know."

"Hey." I reached out to touch her shoulder, but once my hand landed on her she flinched away from me which only proceeded to break my heart more. "Hey. I'm not gonna hurt you. I don't know what she did to you, but I'm gonna make sure she never touches you again."

"Others will die." She whispered to Daryl and I.

"She ain't gonna touch nobody. Alright?"  Daryl groaned. "Look, we gotta go."

"This is a stupid idea." Avalon growled at us as he pushed past us and started following everyone else.

Daryl and I stared at each other for a moment in complete worry for our little girl before continuing through the pikes and walking with everyone else.

The storm had gotten so bad, that we could barely see in front of us anymore with all of the snow that was falling. But eventually we were stopped when King-Step-Dad held up his fist to halt us.
