The next day my father informed me that he was going on an ammo run, and he's going all the way back to his hometown to do so. He asked me if I wanted to go with him, but I decided to stay at the prison to help protect it if the Governor does decide to attack while they are away. Since I'm not tagging along, he asked my sword sister to join him along with Carl and Sophia. They are both ready and old enough to go on runs. I trust that if things go wrong the kids can take care of themselves, but that didn't stop me from threatening Michonne to protect them with her life or else.
Daryl had offered to go with my father, but it was turned down quickly when my father told him he had to stay to make sure Merle doesn't cause any trouble, and that if he does it's Daryl's responsibility. Daryl obviously understood, knowing that his brother is is an asshole and revels in the drama he causes.
Glenn has apologized profusely for airing my business to the entire group. I forgave him because I know he's just upset at the world right now, but I did let him know that he mentions it in front of everyone again, he will be shot. And I wasn't joking.
When Dad left, he put Daryl in charge. He said neither Glenn or I are in the right head set to be leading right now. And he is correct...... About Glenn. However not so much about me. I may not be my normal self lately, but I can still control a room.
Glenn called everyone to a meeting the second my father was gone. We all huddled around our small dining space, and listened to Glenn's rant.
"I say we go to Woodbury right now and end this! Rick can't stop us! We can go and kill the Governor before anything else happens."
"No. It's the middle of the day. They'll spot us coming." I argued.
"We can sneak in. We'll use the tree's as cover." Glenn added.
"I think it's a great plan." Merle said shocking us all. He can't be serious. "If you want to die." Ahh there it is.
"I agree with Merle." I said. Never really thought the day I would agree with Honky Tonk would happen, but here we are. "What you are planning is a suicide mission."
Glenn now got defensive. "Just a few days ago, you were ready to run back there with Michonne and end it." I could feel Daryl's gaze burning a hole right through the side of my head. "Why are you suddenly against it?"
"He is going to expect us to retaliate now. Don't you get that?" I argued with him. "He came here, guns blazing. Drove a damn truck full of geeks through our fence. He may be psychotic, but he's not stupid. He probably has people guarding the place like it's Fort Knox." I sighed. "Plus if we kill him right now, it won't change anything. Someone else will step up and take his place."
Glenn scoffed. "Fine, but if anyone dies because we didn't do this, that's on you." He then stormed off. I tried to call after him, but it was no use. Maggie ran out to check on him. Everyone else dispersed as well, except for Daryl, Merle and I.
I rubbed my hands down my face and groaned. "Dumb ass plan."
"Yeah. Ya were gonna to do the same a few days ago?" Daryl asked looking pissed off. Why is he suddenly so mad? It's not like I did it. I mean I was literally about to hop in the car with Michonne, but I never got to that point.
"I was." I shrugged my shoulders. "Didn't though."
"Yer girl is crazy Darlyna." Merle said causing Daryl and I to both turn to him and glare.
"I just didn't want Glenn to sacrifice himself. He was in no condition to make that trip, and Michonne and I know where the Governors apartment is, so we were just going to go end it." I shrugged.
