Nora's POV:
All of us were walking back to Hilltop. Well, with the exception of Eugene. He's riding on one of the horses Jesus, Aaron, and Daryl brought with them to search for the talking encyclopedia himself.
I was walking in between Daryl and Glenn which was awkward to say the least. Their relationship hasn't been stellar since Daryl cheated on me. I can see they're trying to be friends again, and I would love that. I may not be able to completely forgive Daryl for what he did, but I am happy with Siddiq now and that's all that really matters.
Out of the corner of my eye I could see Daryl and Glenn both glance occasionally at Magna and Yumiko. So I finally spoke on their behalf. "Avalon and Judith jumped the wall and found them and vouched for them." Daryl then narrowed his eyes at me when I mentioned our daughters bad behavior. I could tell he wanted to say something, but before he could, I spoke again. "We need to have a discussion about her behavior lately, but we can do that in a minute." He nodded his head in agreement before listening to me finish talking. "They're good people. I trust them. Michonne didn't want them at Alexandria though after everything that happened with Jocelyn, so we brought them to Hilltop. Maggie agreed to let them stay."
"Wait, they live at Hilltop, now?" Glenn asked me.
"Yes, Bubbles." I told him. "That is what I just said. The one with the bow is Yumiko. The one with tattoos is Magna. She's a lot like me. In their small group is also Luke, Connie, and Kelly, who you will meet at Hilltop."
"Oh, cool." He shrugged. "Well, I better go introduce myself to them since they're my new neighbors." Glenn then glanced over at Daryl with a small scowl before whispering to me. "You'll be fine if I leave you, right?"
I swatted his arm with my hand. "Of course I'll be fucking fine. Now go introduce yourself to the new members of your community before I hurt you."
"Jeez." Glenn threw his hands up in surrender. "Okay, I'm going. I'm going." He then walked away after giving a warning look to Daryl so he could introduce himself to Magna and Yumiko.
I looked at Daryl who was still staring at me with narrowed eyes, waiting for me to speak about our daughter. "First, before I start talking about Avalon's concerning behavior, you should know the kids are at Hilltop. If I would have known that these freaks with masks were running around though, I never would have brought them."
"Still shouldn't've brought 'em." Daryl groaned at me.
"Well, I did. Avalon wanted to make sure the group she helped save was brought to a safe place. So Siddiq and I thought it would be okay to bring the twins on a little journey to Hilltop-"
"I don't give a fuck what Siddiq thought." Daryl growled at me. "I'm their dad. I didn't want them leaving the safety of their home."
"You are their dad." I agreed with him. "And nothing will ever change that. But Siddiq.... He's in my life now Daryl. You can't just act like he's non existent."
"Oh, I know he exists." Daryl glared at me. "But I don't want my children hangin' out with yer boytoy."
"Excuse me?" I glared back at him when he referred to Siddiq as a boytoy. "That is not what he is to me, and you know it. God, why can't you just accept that I'm happy with him?"
"Are ya?"
"I am." I told him confidently.
He grunted as if he didn't believe me or he just can't believe that I am very happy with someone else. I will admit that I still love Daryl. I'll never stop loving him, but he hurt me and broke me. I never thought I'd be okay again after everything happened. And to be honest sometimes I'm not. But Siddiq, he helps me.
