Daryl left very early the next morning with everyone that is helping draw the herd away. I know today is only supposed to be a dry run of what they are planning to do tomorrow, but I'm still worried. A million things could go wrong. I'm hoping everything goes according to plan, or as close to the original plan as possible.
Right now, I am on a walk with Judith and Sebastian. I put Judith in a stroller so that I'm not forced to carry her around town, and with the twins wanting to burst out of me anytime soon, Seb hasn't really wanted to leave my side. He said he wants to be there, to make sure I'm taken care of.
Carl and Sophia are the same way. They're just as worried about me. I think that this is personally bringing up memories of Lori for Carl. It does for me too. I remember when she was this pregnant. How happy she was that she was going to have another being to love. Then everything went horribly. I'm scared the same is going to happen to me. I know the kids are worried about that too. I've been trying to hide how scared I actually am, so I don't freak the kids out more.
As we were walking, I noticed how silent Seb got all of a sudden. Before this, he was spewing baby names my way. All of them were trash, but I wasn't about to tell him that.
I saw him staring into the field. My eyes scanned the area until I finally found what he was gawking at. Enid and Ron.
Sebastian has told me a few times that Ron and Enid are dating. Sebastian tries to act like he doesn't care, but it's clear he does. He has a massive crush on the girl, and funny thing is I can tell she likes him back. But she won't leave Ron. That's okay though. If she doesn't realize how great my son is, then she doesn't deserve him.
I wrapped an arm around my son's shoulders while he now was strolling Judith around, and started walking away from the love birds.
We then heard a voice behind us, that made me want to groan. Gabriel. "Sebastian, Nora...." Sebastian did groan. After I told him what Gabriel said about all of us to Deanna, he's been avoiding the priest. He was angry, and rightfully so.
"What?" Seb angirly snapped at the man approaching us.
"You heard what I told Deanna about your group." Gabriel sighed.
"No shit, Preachy." I rolled my eyes. "Did you think that we would never hear about it? You tried to get us kicked out." I wanted to punch Gabriel, but Seb threw his arm in front of me and blocked me from moving. He then gave me his best, 'don't you dare' face.
This kid knows me too well.
"What do you want?" Seb growled at the priest.
"It was about me," Gabriel started explaining. "Not either of you, or your group. I know that now. I want to help." He now looked directly at my son. "You, Carl, and Sophia.... You tried to teach me back at my church. But I'm ready to learn now."
Seb glanced at me, silently asking me what he should do. I shrugged my shoulders. This decision is up to him, Carl, and Soph. If they want to help the preacher man, they can. Sebastian turned back to Gabriel. "You need to tell everybody, and you need to apologize. We saved your life, and in return you tried to exile us."
"Yeah, I think you're right." Gabriel nodded. "I'm sorry."
Seb and I both nodded at Gabriel in sync before turning around. Before leaving, Seb spoke one more time to the preacher. "Come by around 3:00. We'll start with the machete."
When we got back to our house, I noticed that Gwendolyn was in our house. She was shoving something in the oven. I rolled my eyes at her, wondering why she isn't using her own kitchen to cook something.
