A/N: There is a small conversation between Rosita and Nora in this chapter that is in Spanish. I did include the translations at the end of each paragraph. But I wanted to warn you all in advance.
We woke up early the next morning to set out for Alexandria. I'm excited to see my family again, and to make sure that they are alright. But I'm also nervous about how they will respond to me in general.
I told Negan I don't want my father knowing about our arrangement. I don't want want to piss off my father anymore than he already will be. However Negan rejected my need to not tell my father or my community that I have become one of his wives. He told me that it is up to him whether or not to share that information.
I'm worried everyone will think I'm actually with Negan. I mean most of the people at that community have now seen some version of one of my barcrawls, but this one is something I've never done before. What if they think I sold out?
When we pulled up to the gates of Alexandria with the many trucks that came with us, Negan told me to stay inside the truck until I was called for. I stayed as he got out of the truck and walked over to the gate. My window was rolled down so I could hear everything that was going on.
Negan banged his baseball bat up against the gate of my home and spoke in a singsong voice. "Little pig, little pig, let me in!" When the screen part of the gate opened, I saw Spencers stupid face. He was standing in front of the gate, not making an effort to open it. "Well?" Negan asked him when no efforts to let us in were made.
Spencer looked behind Negan at all of the trucks. I have no idea why I was surprised when he still decided not to open the gate. I mean this is Spencer we're talking about. I'm pretty sure Deanna dropped him as a baby. There are a few screws loose in his head. "Umm, who are you?"
I groaned at Spencer's words. He didn't really just ask that right? By now he should know who Negan is. He's probably heard a few different versions of what happened at the line-up. He knows who Negan is, he just doesn't want to let him in.
"Oh, you better be jokin'." I heard Negan start laughing. "Negan." He held up his bat. "Lucille." Why does he always have to introduce his bat? "I know I had to make a pretty strong first impression."
Then I saw my father walk up to the gate behind Spencer. If looks could kill, Negan would be toppled over with his guts ripped out from my father's terrifying glare. I've seen him mad plenty of times. Mostly at me. But this definitely takes the cake.
"Well, hello there." Negan said to my father. When my father continued glaring at him I could hear Negan's threatening tone. "Do not make me have to ask."
"You said a week." Dad told him as he headed towards the lock of the gate. He started pushing the gate open. "You're early."
"I missed you." Negan told him. "And I did bring something that I do believe you would love to see." Negan turned his head around. "Firecracker, get your sexy ass out here!"
I got out of the vehicle trying to ignore the fact that Negan is talking about me like that in front of my dad. When I exited the vehicle I noticed a geek also approaching the gate. I lifted the sword that Negan gave back to me yesterday and was prepared to take it down.
"No." Negan stopped me before turning to my father. "Oh, Rick, come on out here. Watch this." Negan then looked at me again. "I'm calling it!"
I sheathed my sword and ran to my father as him and Negan walked towards the geek. Dad engulfed me in a big hug with a tear streaming down his face. It was clear he thought he'd never see me again.
