Daryl's POV:

After Mae left with Rick, I drove my bike out of Hilltop to do the same job they're doing. They're at the front of the line though, which means when we get a signal that the Saviors are coming, it'll most likely be from them.

I don't think Mae should've went with Rick. I would have prefered it if she stayed in at Hilltop with the kids, but I guess she had a point. We aren't doing much besides waiting, which means she can rest while Rick keeps watch.

I can't believe she didn't tell me that Sophia is pregnant. I would never keep such a big secret from her. Carl is lucky I didn't kill him. I thought about it. And then after realizing I'd probably die from killing Rick's son, I wanted to hurt him. I was ready to beat his ass for doing that to Soph, but then Mae got involved and put an end to that.

I meant what I said though. If anything happens to Soph or the baby she's carrying, I will hurt Carl. Mae won't be able to stop me if it happens. Soph is one of my girls and as long as I'm around nothing bad will happen to her. But I'm not always around, which is why I threatened Carl.

Finally I heard a horn, signalling that the Saviors are on their way the the Hilltop. I walked over to my bike and grabbed the airhorn I brought with me and pressed the button on top to sound the horn.

I started driving back to the Hilltop shortly after giving my signal. When I arrived, the Saviors were about the storm in. I started shooting at them with the gun I mounted to my bike as I drove up. All of them were ducking for cover as I drove past them and the gates opened for me.

Some of the Saviors got in their vehicles to follow me, but they weren't expecting one of the school busses from the Kingdom to block their way after letting me in. They crashed into the side of it while I ditched my bike and grabbed the gun to start shooting at the Saviors who are coming in.

When the truck crashed into the bus, I heard Maggie yell, "Now!" to everyone to let them know it's officially time to fight.

I was hiding behind a car as I shot a bunch of people walking through the open gate. I then started walking from car to car to dodge myself from their bullets. But as I was doing that, I saw Simon and Dwight walking in between the tents, heading towards the center of the chaos. I looked over in the direction they were going to see Tara.

"Tara!" I screamed trying to warn her, but then some prick ran up to me and tried to shoot me. I shot him in the head before he could even fully lift his gun. I then was about to run over to Tara to save her, but then I saw a bolt pierce through her shoulder, and she slowly fell to the ground.

Dwight! That fucking asshole! I'm gonna kill him!

I started shooting in the direction of Dwight and Simon until I couldn't see them anymore. I then looked in Tara's direction to see her being helped up by someone.

I then heard a voice next to me. Michonne's. "Daryl, it's time." She whispered to me. "Maggie gave the signal. We gotta go." I didn't follow her. I was too focused on finding Dwight and killing him. He needs to die. "Daryl!" Michonne screamed at me, making me shake my head and finally follow into a truck in front of the house..

We let out a bunch of smoke bombs and took out every single light that was on. Until all gunfire ceased.

It was so dark, we could barely see. But soon we heard whistling approaching the house and we knew it was time to end this bullshit. All of us who are in vehicles in front of the house turned on our headlights to temporarily blind the Saviors before we started shooting at them.

The Saviors then started retreating, and I hopped out of the truck and started running after them with my gun. I met up with Rick, Maggie, and Glenn, as we ran up to the gate and were shooting at the Saviors who were getting away in their trucks.
