28: Probation

2 Months Later

I am currently out on a run with Glenn, Sasha, Tyreese, Zach, and Jane, looking for more food, or weapon's for us at the prison. I am not thrilled that Jane came with us today. After she told Gwendolyn that I'm unstable, I haven't liked her much. Actually I started to despise her even after I caught her kissing Daryl a few months ago. Apparently she has tried a few more times to get close to him, but he lets me know every time. I trust my husband more than I will ever trust that skank.

We split up into three groups. I got stuck with Jane. Sasha and Tyreese wanted to stay together, and Glenn is with Zach. The reason Glenn and I didn't branch of together is because we know leaving Jane and Zach together wouldn't be a great idea. Neither of them can protect themselves very well. Which means if push came to shove, we could lose them both. I think Zach is cool, I don't want to lose him. Plus I think Beth would kill me and Glenn if we let her boyfriend die.

Jane and I were silent, We didn't speak one word to each other the whole time. That is just fine with me. Her voice irritates me anyway.

We went into the back offices of the grocery store looking for anything that could be useful. We didn't find much in the first one. There was a dart board, and some blankets. I shoved them into my bag even though Jane was trying to bitch at me for grabbing the dart board. She said it's not a 'necessity'. I rolled my eyes at her. Dart boards aren't just fun, throwing the darts can help improve your aim. Not that mine needs much help. She left the room and headed to the second office, while I made sure we weren't missing anything in this one.

I left the first office and reunited with Jane in front of the second one. "Did you clear it yet?" I asked her in a cool tone.

She hummed in response then said, "Of course I did, I'm not stupid."

"Didn't say you were." I rolled my eyes again. She needs to get rid of her attitude fast. 

I brushed past her and opened the door. Upon entering the room, I immediately walked over to the desk and checked the drawers for anything useful. But when I got there I was tackled to the ground by a geek. I was in a position that made it impossible to grab my Katana.

I rolled the geek off of me, and got up. I grabbed my knife and threw it right into the geeks skull. I looked around to see that the office door is now closed, Jane is no longer here with me and there are two more geeks in here. Where did Jane go? And why isn't she helping me?

I was able to grab another knife and throw it into the skull of the next geek. I was about to grab my sword to take out the last one when it got too close and pushed me into the metal shelving unit behind me, making it so I can't grab it.

I was trying my best to hold to geek away from me as I reached for my gun. I really don't want to fire my gun, but I have to. As I got the gun in my hand, I tried pointing it at the geeks head.  I didn't get to shoot it though, because the geek pushed me harder into the shelf making me fall and drop my gun.

I would've picked it up, but when I fell some items on the shelf fell as well. Including a smallish safe. The safe landed on my left arm, making me scream out in pain. That arm is now useless, since it is most likely broken, and stuck under a safe. The only thing I could do now was hold the geek back, and hope someone will come to help me since Jane decided to just leave me.

I've been yelling for a few minutes already, and nobody has come to help me. I am in the back of this big store, so I know being heard will be hard. However my life depends on it. "HELP!" I screamed. "GLENN!! SASHA!! TYREESE!!" I called for the three most capable people, but if Zach shows up I'll be more than grateful.

I can't hold the geek off of me for much longer. The weight of it is getting to be too much. I cried, knowing this is probably it for me. My arm sunk down lower and lower under the geeks weight. Our noses were now almost touching. "I love you Daryl." I whispered before closing my eyes and preparing myself to get eaten alive.
