Daryl's POV:
Glenn, Seb and I are currently in one of the buildings close to the Sanctuary watching the back of the building, hoping to see any signs of Mae. We've been here for hours and haven't seen or heard from her or Negan. I would've expected to see him by now, but it seems like everyone is reporting to Simon instead.
"Why hasn't he brought her out yet?" Glenn asked.
"Might not be here." I shrugged while answering Glenn's question.
"Or they could be." Seb groaned. "They may be inside. He could be making her...." He trailed off but Glenn and I glanced at each other understanding what the teen was suggesting. I wish Seb hadn't had to witness Mae go through everything when we were all here the first time, but I am glad she had someone here that she could talk to, that she trusted. She doesn't have that this time.
I shook my head. "Nah. If they were here, we would've seen him by now." I tried to calm Seb's nerves Mae wasn't the only one traumatized by what happened to her in the Sanctuary. Seb was too. He'll never admit it because he didn't experience first hand what she went through, but he had to watch all of it happen. He had watched as his mother broke down, and that is something no child should ever have to see. "Simon is in charge right now, which means Negan ain't here."
"Alright, so we wait some more." Glenn stated. "They gotta show up eventually."
"Unless..." Seb frowned. "Unless their dead."
"Hey!" I scolded him. "Don't talk like that. Yer momma is a Dixon and so are ya. What's our family motto?"
"I ain't nobody's bitch?" Seb groaned.
"The other one." I grunted at him. "The one Merle says all the time."
"Only a Dixon can kill a Dixon." Sebastian sighed.
"Damn straight. Mae will be fine. We'll get her." I don't even fully believe everything that I'm saying right now. There's a possibility that Mae doesn't survive this, or when we do get her she could be more broken than she was the first time. Sebastian's not dumb, he knows the risks. But that doesn't mean I can't try to give him some comfort.
I took a break from looking through the scope of the gun and Glenn stood up from his sitting position on the ground to take my place. I sat down with my back to the wall and laid my arms out over my knees, trying to figure out how we'll get Mae out of there. It was hard to find a possibility for us to escape the first time, but now that Negan knows she's a flight risk, I imagine that she won't be allowed to do anything alone like she used to do.
Glenn snapped his fingers twice, making both Sebastian and I look at him. We were wondering why he was snapping his fingers, but then again, it's Glenn. There's never any rhyme or reason for the weird shit he does.
I laid my head back on the wall, and Glenn snapped his fingers again in the same way he did it before. Seb and I didn't respond the second time and I could hear Glenn groan before he spoke to us in an irritated tone. "Guys, this.." he snapped his fingers twice again. "Means get your asses over here."
"Well why didn't ya just say that." I grunted as I walked over.
"Yeah, I assumed you had another song stuck in your head." Seb sassed.
"Haha." Glenn fake laughed. "Get over here, there's a car pulling in."
Seb and I approached where Glenn was, and I made the Asian scoot out of the way so I could see through the scope of the gun.
As I adjusted it's view I saw one of the Saviors opening the back door of the car to grab something out of it. But then I was filled with rage when I saw that he wasn't grabbing something. He was grabbing someone. I would know that long copper hair and great ass anywhere. That's Mae.
