"I'm sorry I don't think I heard you right." I stared at my daughter and little brother while rubbing my head. There's no possible way that what they just told me is true. We had the talk. They understood the importance of protection. "I think my heads pretty messed up, cause I thought I heard you say-"

"I'm pregnant." Sophia cut me off before pressing her lips into a thin line.

"Yeah, that's what I thought you said." I groaned loudly. "I just don't understand." I shook my head. "How the hell did this happen?"

"Well, when a man and a woman love each other very much-"

"I know how  it happened, Carl!" I snapped at my little brother for his smartass comment. "I thought you two were being careful and using condoms."

"We were." Sophia stated while frowning. "We don't know exactly how it happened, but it did."

"Well I guess with condoms there always is a small possibility." I mumbled. "They're only about 97% effective."

"What?!" Carl freaked out. "They should put that information on the box."

"They do." I stared at my little brother like he was stupid. "It's on the back of every box."

"They do!?"

"Yeah.." I rolled my eyes at Carl before looking at Sophia again. She seems like she's on the verge of tears, and honestly she probably is. I remember how I was when I found out I was pregnant with the twins, and then when Daryl didn't respond well, that didn't bode well for me either. I know he's not going to react well to this, so I'm gonna have to be the sane one in our relationship for once. "Sunshine, I need to ask you something. And however you answer, I'm not going to judge, Alright?" She nodded her head slightly. "Do you want this baby? Because when I was at the infirmary I saw some pills in the cabinet that you can take if you don't want the baby."

"I do." Sophia said softly. "I want my baby."

"Okay." I nodded my head. I'm not gonna make her get rid of the baby if she wants it. That is her choice. "I'll tell your father later but beware, he's not going to respond as well to this as I am." I then stood up and walked back into the house. I need to calm down a little bit before I try to talk to Daryl about this.

I washed the paint off my hand from Carl, Judith, and I's small sibling bonding moment while shaking my head. How the hell am I supposed to tell Daryl that our sixteen year old daughter is pregnant?

A few hours later, I was sitting on the porch. My head was starting to feel a little better, but I still won't be in the best shape for a while.

"Hey." I heard my husband's voice approaching me after he closed the front door to our home. "How the head?" He asked me while pointing to his head, as if I've forgotten where mine was.

"It's alright." I shrugged. "I shouldn't have left."

"Ya shouldn't've." Daryl agreed with me as he sat down in the chair next to me. "Carl said ya found someone?"

"We did." I nodded my head. "He's not with the Saviors. His name is Siddiq and we've ran into him before. He could've tried to hurt us, but didn't."

"So ya just brought him back here?" Daryl seemed irritated by Carl and I's actions.

"We did." I said again. "He's not a threat to us. He's in a cell for now until Dad gets back."

"How do ya know that?" Daryl's voice was harsh. I guess he is upset by Carl and I bringing Siddiq back. "That he ain't a threat? Everyone but us is a threat now."
