the calm before the storm

Moons pov
The place wasn't big but it was hard to find where Dagger was and trying to hide the same exact time to not be caught. I had been in some form of upstairs area and looked around. Down there seemed to be some scientists one who matched the brief description Dagger told me which explained what happened atleast. I couldn't properly hear they're conversation sadly so I kept walking around to find Dagger.

While heading to one of the rooms I heard what sounded like chains falling which of course peeked my curiosity and I went to check it out. And there they were! "Dagger!,thank whoever above your alive" I said and went to them "are you okay enough to stand/move?" I asked and he simply nodded so I nodded okay as well and brought him with me as I led him with me to one of the unguarded entrances out and get to leave and get back home where can hopefully have a calm day for once.

Tavnora's pov
We watched through windows as the vessel from before seemed to have found their friend they were looking for who was also another vessel.

'How curious do you recognize either of the two?' I asked my other half though he may be named shattered he prefers not to be called it. "Yes I do atleast the one we need to watch, one of the monster's is named nightmare let's just say we have some history together the other monster they seemed merged with i do not recognize" he explained to which I nodded.

We looked around the building to get some ideas, "I say we cause a lockdown make them figure out the friend is missing and make it a hassel to escape" he suggested as I smiled. 'Always the one with the plans, how should we do it exactly?' I asked examining the area.

"Get their attention you're very good at that part" he told me and that was simply all I needed for me to know what he wanted to do. I simply chuckled as I went to do what I always do best.

Moons pov
As we got to one of the exits suddenly the door closed and some alarm went off. Damn it how the hell did they find out so fast? Something else had to of happened but I didn't care about that right now. "We're just gonna teleport out at this point so we can leave" I said to Dagger but I was interrupted in my head.

"Hell no your not, you haven't slept or even fully ate in days most you've had is some snacks to pass by and running here already has you tired, you'd lose your energy and pass out! we can find another exit"

nightmare reprimanded me but at the moment I couldn't care less and just wanted to make sure we'd get out fast and safe. 'Honestly right now nightmare I don't care I'm just getting us out' I told him as I took Daggers hand and teleported us out of the laboratory thing before something else happened.

Tavnora's pov
I finished cutting up the wires to the entire outside area of the lab and caused multiple loud crashes.

That certainly got their attention as I could hear the sirens and doors closing from here earning a chuckle out of me. Though as I looked both outside and through the windows they weren't inside and there was no sign they got out and left on foot.

"They must've teleported out" my other half finished my thoughts for me. 'They seem smart I'll give them that' I replied as my collar began to play an annoyingly loud beep or otherwise known as the signal I need to head back so I did.

Kit's pov
I had gone in circles trying to see where moon went till I saw them and who I assumed was they're friend just appear in the middle of an alleyway I saw.

"Moon" I called and went over, she seemed to be taking very deep breathes and looked like they may pass out having one hand on the wall for support and one hand on her chest.

"Kit this" she took a breath "is Dagger, Dagger this" she took another breathe "is Kit an old.....acquaintance" she finished before just as I thought passing out but before I caught her/she hit the ground she stopped- herself? I was confused as she stood up straight and sighed.

"I warned her just teleporting out was a bad idea" her body spoke but I could tell it wasn't her which left me skeptical and worried.

'Moon' must've noticed my skepticism as they offered a hand, "Nightmare, one of the monster's in her head or as you called me in the dreamscape a 'hot topic employee' if I'm correct" he explained as I now understood and shook his hand.

"I can try to explain things when we head back for now though Kit can you open a way for us back to the castle? I don't think Dagger will be able to and moon definitely won't be able to" he asked as I nodded and opened a portal thing back to the castle.

As we entered back into the castle we all took a seat on the couch to take a breather and rest, "so" nightmare started "where should I start off in explanations?"

Grace's pov
I stood in my room of the house its the only real home thing I have. I looked up and in the doorway Tavnora was there which scared me a bit thinking it was moon at first.

"Oh its you, well what did you see?" I asked, "they're most likely back at their home castle now, they found the vessel thing they had been looking for" she told me as I just nodded okay.

"Thanks, you're free to yknow do what you normally do I guess" I said to which she just nodded and left.
