1: The Fateful Encounter

Normal P.O.V

“Let's go Natsu!”

“Let's go Gray!”

“Let's go Natsu!”

“Let's go Gray!”

The chants of Natsu and Gray were heard in the guild hall, as both the forces collided into a battle of fists, per usual. They were fighting for a quite a while, over a glass of soda, they never stop until one of them wins.

Sometimes it would be Natsu and sometimes it would Gray. But their rivalry was never settled. They kept on quarreling on a daily basis.

"Take this you droopy eyed bastard!" Natsu yelled as he punched Gray on the face.

"No, you take this you squinty eyed loser!" Gray spat as he punched Natsu in the torso. Laki just sighed as she saw them not stopping anytime soon. Erza left her incharge of them.

All 4 of them lived together in an apartment which was a property owned by the guild, 5 if Happy counts. Erza was strict and trained them.

“Watch this Romeo.” Natsu said with a smirk, which caught Gray off gaurd as he got distracted by Romeo.

"Wing Slash of the Fire Dragon!" Natsu jumped on the air as a red magic circle appeared and launched his attack on Gray, the latter was sent crashing into the the walls.

Gray got hit, and was unable to get up in time, making Natsu win.

“That was awesome, big brother Natsu!” Romeo cheered while clapping as he ran towards Natsu. Natsu picked him up on his shoulders while doing his victory dance.

“All thanks to you, thanks for the support.” Natsu smiled.

“When I grow up I want to be like you.” Romeo spoke.

Gray was watching and listening to everything as he gritted his teeth. ‘If its not Happy, then its Romeo who helps Natsu win.’ Gray thought. ‘I need a back up of my own.’

Gray saw Natsu walking away with Romeo on his shoulders while Happy flew besides, he could hear them talking about taking Romeo out for an ice cream treat. Gray's heart sank hearing all that soft talk coming from Natsu, least expected.

‘If I had a little brother, I bet we'd kick their butts together...’ Gray thought as he stood up and sighed.

Gray's childhood wasn't fun growing up. Gray was single child, though he had friends, like Lyon, but they were equals. He always wanted someone he could own, be dominant over, could protect, can train, just like a little sibling, a little brother.

But not only he had lost his friends and mentor, but he also lost his family in a demon attack in his town.

He would feel those emotions everytime he saw Natsu and Romeo together acting like real siblings. Jealous would be a wrong word, but Gray would get annoyed when he would find himself alone.

Gray had hands in his pockets as he walked through the streets, while the sun was on the brink of setting. He had his head down and was walking towards home, he didn't want to make himself an object of mockery after he lost to Natsu so he decided going home and just sleeping away.

“I can see your future.” Gray heard a voice but decided to ignore as he continued walking. “Gray Fullbuster, the ice wizard.”

He immediately stopped and looked up and behind, to when he heard his name being called. Upon looking back he saw an old and short man in a very weird attire smiling at him.
