22: Fighting Spirit

Gray's P.O.V

After helping Natsu take down one of the element 4, we separated our ways and decided to take down the others. I ran towards the direction where I could feel a strong magical energy.

I escaped through a window and looked at the sky and it looked like it was about to rain. My eyes fell on the battle field. The battle with those shadow creatures was still going on at the backside of the guild.

My eyes were trying to find that one person.

A smile crept on my face, as I spotted Gems. He was fighting off the shades. He looked so tiny. But his growth is what I'm really proud of. He was holding his ground, that too without me. That made me proud.

‘Come on Gems!’ I thought with a smile, suddenly it started raining.

“Drip, drip, drop!” I heard a woman's voice. A blue haired woman with a pink umbrella walked towards me, she was one of the element 4 and I could feel that. She called herself Juvia.

I glanced down there at the battle field one last time before adverting my gaze back to my enemy.

My battle had begun.

Normal P.O.V

On the battlefield, Mirajane stepped up disguised as Lucy, in order and in the hopes of stopping the war. Gems looked in awe at how exactly similar she looked like Lucy.

“I'm the one you want! Stop attacking our guild this instant!” Mirajane yelled, as Lucy, and others feared for her safety because it was too dangerous.

“Begone... Imposter!” Jose spoke in a disgusted tone. Mirajane and everyone else was shocked as Jose informed that he knew from the beginning that Lucy wasn't there. Mirajane transformed back to normal and broke down into tears feeling helpless.

Suddenly a magic circle appeared beneath her and she disappeared and reappeared between the fingers of that giant.

“I'll get her back!” Gems stepped up. “Requip: Charmix!” Gems requiped into his charmix and flew directly towards Mirajane.

“Mira don't worry, I'll get you out!” Gems yelled as Mirajane looked towards him. Just as Gems was about to reach her, the shadow creatures got in the way.

‘I can't even attack them, my attack might hurt Mira if they dodge...’ Gems gritted his teeth. “Wind Globe!” Gems used his spell and trapped those shadows in huge sphere of wind. But much to Gems's dismay they could pass right through it.

“My magic's too weak..." Gems mumbled as he flew backwards, away from Mira in order to dodge those shadow creatures who were now trying to pass through him.

“Gems! Get down! Its not safe!” Laki yelled from the ground.

But suddenly and swiftly a shadow passed right through him, and his charmix disappear. Gems fell, right on Max. More like Max ran to save him. “They got me good, thank you Max...” Gems said as Laki immediately helped him up.

“Are you okay!?” She asked and Gems nodded.

“I'm so sorry I couldn't save Mira...” Gems apologized. But the others told him not to apologize. ‘Hurry up and stop the giant! Gray! Natsu and Elfman! And come back!’ Gems thought as he looked at the giant.

There were cheers when they saw Elfman saving Mirajane. A lot of time had passed but the spell wasn't casted yet, the giant was moving slow.

“The giant is moving very turtle-ish right now!” Laki said.
