69: Date Day!

Gems's P.O.V

My entire body was filled with excruciating pain everywhere and so was the condition of everyone else after Ultear's spell wore off. I wasn't even able to walk, Gray had to give me a piggy back ride till our hotel room. I felt so bad because he was in pain as well.

He held me in his arms while we went to bed, these past few days, we've been so exhausted that we didn't even feel like making love.

As soon as we hit the bed, our eyes would feel heavy and we just doze off, after exchanging some kisses, obviously.

The very next day we left for Magnolia, the journey was tiresome. We left our luggage at our home and immediately left for the guild hall, as Gramps had an announcement.

Everyone else had returned from their training as well, except Gajeel and Thunder Legion. Elfman had gained a lot of muscle and looked completely buffed.

“Its time to announce the members who will represent us at the Grand Magic Games, five team members and one reserve member.” Master Makarov informed.

Reverse members were there, just in case if anyone wanted to switch due to injury or something else.

“Erza Scarlett, Natsu Dragneel, Gray Fullbuster!” Gramps announced, I looked at our team and it was cheerful but it still brought a lot of responsibility on them.

“You made it!” I said as I looked at Gray.

“Laki Olietta and Lucy Heartfilia!” Gramps announced and my eyes widened when I heard Lucy's name getting announced.

“Me!? Over Mira, Gajeel, Laxus, even Wendy and Gems!?” Lucy gasped.

“And the reserve member for your team will be, Wendy Marvell.” Gramps said and they all gasped. She was selected because she was dragon slayer.

And nothing for me.

“So Gems is like the only member not selected from Erza's team?” Macao asked and it hit me. My entire team was gonna be representing our guild, while I had to sit back yet again.

I just looked down and didn't say anything, until I felt getting surrounded by people. I looked up and it was my team.

“He's still gonna be travelling with us, staying with us and cheering for us!” Natsu said as he wrapped arm around my shoulder. I saw Gray frowning at that.

“Yeah! He's my biggest cheerleader!” Lucy added as she came forward and hugged me.

“Gems, don't feel down. You're gonna stay with us.” Erza said and I nodded.

“Well the exceed squad got your backs!” I said as I picked up Happy and Charles as well. And they all laughed. I was happy that my team was selected. “I have faith in my team.” I added.

We were told to leave for Crocus, the capital of Fiore, where the games were being held.

“I hope you're the loudest one out there when I'm competing.” Gray spoke as he packed our luggage. I just sat on the bed and watched him fold our clothes and put them in a suitcase, while I already packed our essentials.

“Trust me, my throat gonna hurt with all the shouting and I just know it.” I laughed.

“Just like how it hurt when you went deep throat on me?” Gray asked with a smirk as he was done with packing.

“Well... Sorta kinda!” I answered as I walked upto him and hugged him from behind.

“I love when you hug me.” Gray spoke as he turned around. “It makes me feel warm and fuzzy.” he added as he wrapped his arms around me. I just rested my head on his shoulder.
