12: End Of Lullaby

Gray's P.O.V

“This station is surrounded by that wind barrier, we can't even escape.” Gems said as he and Erza got up.

“Yeah I saw, try to break out and it will turn you into mincemeat.” I replied.

“I've tried, and my elbow was almost gone.” Erza said, making me gasp. “Thanks to Gems, he was able to heal me.” she added and that made me smile.

“What now?” Gems asked me, I had no idea.

“That wizard Kage was the one who broke the seal of Lullaby, I bet he can break that wind barrier as well. We need to find him, I assume he's engaged in a battle with Natsu right now. Let's get moving.” Erza said as she made a run.

I saw there was a faint sense of fear on Gems's face. I wrapped my arm around him and pulled him in a side hug. Gems hugged back.

“Everything will be okay.” I mumbled.

“And this time I'm staying with you.” Gems replied.

“That's what was bugging you?” I asked. And Gems nodded. So unserious. We are in trouble and he was worried about me, which was a good thing.

“Fine, I'll keep you with me. Promise.” I said as I pecked his forehead when I knew no one was looking. “Let's get moving now.” I said and he nodded.

We ran and catched up with Erza.

Suddenly the building shook with a huge explosion, and we all assumed it was Natsu. We continued in the direction where that noise came from. A few meters ahead we saw Natsu standing tall.

“Natsu!” Erza yelled. “That's enough we need him!” she added as she jumped and pierced her sword just besides an injured Kage, scaring him, Natsu and Gems. Erza ordered him to dispell the wind barrier and he had no choice but agree with her.

“That was scary...” Gems mumbled as he came and stood besides me.

“That's Erza for you.” I replied with a sign.

Suddenly a magic seal appeared on Kage's torso and a hand pierced through him, taking him out, taking out all our hopes. It was his own guildmate.

“Kage! Stay with us!” Erza panicked.

“Healing Winds!” Gems casted his spell, it helped but not fully. His outer wound was healed but not the internal wounds. Kage was still unconscious.

I immediately gave him support, when I felt his magic levels going low due to healing. Third time he used that spell today.

“Gems! Enough!” I said as I pulled him away before he gets unconscious himself.

Natsu was enraged that he took that wizard out with just one fire punch. While Kage laid there unconscious. Gems was out of magic too, thanks to him atleast his life was saved.

“We have to think of something, let's go towards the entrance.” Erza ordered. Natsu picked up Kage as they walked.

“Gems can you walk?” I asked as I helped him get up. He tried walking but had wobbly legs.

“Here.” I said as got down to his level. “Wrap your arms and legs around me.” I said telling him to hop on my back.

“A piggy back ride?” Gems asked and I nodded.

“Like older times.” I smiled. Gems smiled back and got on my back, wrapping his legs around my waist and arms my upper body.

“Ofcourse you wanna feel that.” Gems sighed as I gave a weak smile when he felt my hands on his butt cheeks while I was carrying him.
