30: The Power Of Love

Normal P.O.V

As Sho ran off with Erza, everyone else was taken aback a little and they didn't know what to do. The only they knew was that they didn't have much time left, the Etherion blast coming any time.

“What now?” Gems asked as he looked at Simon and then at Gray. He was probably the most confused one. But Simon just ran off after Sho without saying anything.

“We are gonna save Erza! We are not gonna die in this place.” Gray answered with a straight face. Gems looked at him and nodded hesitantly. “Gems and I are gonna go after Sho and that big guy!” Gray said and mentioned Gems to follow him.

“You girls go find Natsu!” Gray added while looking at Lucy, Laki and Juvia. Awkwardly they all nodded.

Gems was in relief that this time Gray didn't push him away and instead kept him closer. That was kind a ray of hope for  Gems. “Gems! Let's go!” Gray said as he grabbed Gems's wrist and sprinted towards where Sho and Simon ran off.

“Are we doing the right thing?” Gems asked as they ran through the hall way.

“Huh?”

“I mean, Jellal did mention three guys coming after us, don't you think sticking together had given us an upper hand?” Gems asked as they ran side by side.

“You're right, but we've to take the risk and because there's too much going on here simultaneously.” Gray said. Gems didn't reply with anything. “Don't worry, I won't push you away.” Gray as he grabbed Gems's hand again and gave it a slight squeeze with a smile.

Gems smiled back.

In a time like this, the boys still managed to find a way to show love towards each other, and it was everything they both needed from each other, each other's support.

They ran till they sensed a source of magic. And knew where to go.

“Gray-!!” Gems gasped as he put brakes on his run and grabbed Gray, making him stop as well. They were at the end of the road, and were about to fall if Gems didn't stop.

Gems pulled Gray back as they fell on the ground behind them. Gray sighed in relief as he wiped the sweat off his forehead.

“You saved me!” Gray spoke while taking short breathes, they both were tired of running.

“We both would've fall-” Gems was saying something but got interrupted when they heard a blast coming from that dead end.

“What was that!?” Gems said as he covered his ears. Gray mentioned him to follow him as he looked down. Both the boys gasped when they saw Natsu struggling against an owl.

“What is that thing!? And why is he trying to eat Natsu!?” Gray asked while having a disgusted look on his face.

“He's from the Death's Head Order Assassin guild!” Gems answered after gasping when he noticed the guild emblem. He covered his mouth when he realized something.

“Jellal mentioned three warriors joining his side, he must be talking about the Trinity Raven. These people were the ones who  assassinated every officer in the western army during the Cabria War. These people are professional assasins!” Gems said with pure horror and fear plasted on his face.

“This bird is insane...” Gray mumbled.

“Gray, we gotta help Natsu!” Gems said while trembling. “He's in danger!” he added.

Gray nodded.

“Requip: Charmix!” Gems immediately requiped into his battle gear. He looked at Gray and the older male nodded. Gems wrapped his arms around Gray's torso and jumped down. They had a safe landing thanks to Gems's undeniably amazing flying skills.
