41: Oracion Seis

As the days passed both Gray and Gems took smaller missions, within Magnolia itself. The entire gang even took a mission of serving in a newly opened magic restaurant owned by a former council member.

They worked and earned themselves a lot of money, since they did needed to pay the rent.

It was another normal day in the guild, until Gems asked Gray about dark guilds and that discussion created a lot of chaos amongst the guild and Mirajane had to create an entire chart to explain it to Gems.

“It looks like these dark guilds have become a lot more active lately...” Mirajane spoke.

“What are those three circles in the middle?” Gems asked.

“Juvia knows.” Juvia answered immediately. “Is the Ballam Alliance of the dark guilds, consisting of Oracion Seis, Grimore Heart and Tartaros, and they're the ultimate force in the criminal world.” Juvia explained. She had knowledge about it since she was a part of a dark guild herself.

“Word has it, there's only six members in the Oracion Seis.” Laki added more information.

“And those mere six make up one of the strongest forces out there.” Mirajane added to it. It just sent chills down Gems's spine.

“Just the thought of it is making me shiver.” Gems mumbled. Gray just sweatdropped looking at him.

“About that guild... We've been given the task of destroying them.” They all turned around when he heard Makarov's voice, who had just return from the guild masters conference. “And the enemy is way too powerful this time, if we took them alone, we'd have the entire Ballam Alliance out for our blood in no time. Which is why we are to form a coalition of allied forces.” Makarov spoke.

“Allied forces? With who?” Erza asked.

“A selected few members of Fairy Tail, Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale and Cait Shelter will work together to take them down.” Makarov explained. “And I chose your team, Erza.” Makarov added and Erza nodded.

“Way to go!” Natsu cheered.

‘Why us out of all people?’ Gems thought as he sighed. Gems looked at Gray and rolled his eyes. Gray immediately knew that Gems didn't want that because the both of them planned to spend the weekend out and alone and now their plans were ruined.

They all packed their essentials and were already on their way to the meeting spot where they would be meeting up with the wizards of other guild, it was the seconds house of the guild master of Blue Pegasus, Mr Bob.

‘I don't know why, but I get the feeling something very bad is about to happen.’ Gems thought as he hugged his knees while they were in the carraige.

“You seem awfully down today? What's the matter?” Laki asked Gems.

“Nothing, just tired from my previous mission.” Gems replied, trying to smile, but didn't.

“I know you're lying.” Lucy said catching Gems by surprise. Even Gray was surprised that Lucy picked that up before he could. “I know you're scared of going on this mission, and so am I. But we're in this together!” Lucy added as she pulled Gems in a side hug.

“But people like Gajeel or Juvia would be so much better in a battle, than both Lucy and I.” Gems said bluntly, Lucy just sighed in response.

“You guys are not weak at all be so for real.” Gray said.

“If you keep thinking like that you'll never be able to improve. As a wizard, you cannot run away from situations like this. Face it and when you look in the mirror afterwards, you'll find a better version of you.” Erza spoke looking directly at Gems.
