Gray's P.O.V

I ran as fast as I could as I ran through the trees of the forest in the mountains. I didn't have a strong sense of smell like Natsu, so it was all upto my instincts.

I looked here and there to find a sign of a hideout where they might have that kid captured and maybe I could find Vanish Brothers as well. ‘Where are you kid?’ I thought while running, his safety was priority.

I ran for what felt like hours, under the dark sky, inside the dark forest, the surroundings were so scary, good thing I was a wizard and a strong one at that, I suddenly stopped when I heard a faint voice.

I followed that voice.

“Help me!” I could hear more clearly.

“Someone please help me!” I heard it as clear as ice, and it was the same boy's voice whom I met before. I followed the voice and gasped when I finally found that boy.

That boy was tied up with a tree, crying for help, unable to get himself free, in a dangerous place like this. I immediately ran upto him.

“Hey! Hey, don't cry, I'm here to help you, I'll take you home.” I said reassuring words as I reached upto him. He looked at me with tears in his eyes. The ‘take you home part’ kinda made me flutter with happiness.

“Ice Make: Blade!” I slashed through the ropes that were tying him up and freed him, he fell to his knees and I knelt down to his level.

“Hey... Are you okay?” I asked.

“You're a wizard?” he asked as he more tears made his way out, while I nodded. “Please help me, they want to murder me. I... I...” he was trying to say something but was unable to due to all the crying.

I immediately pulled him in a hug. “Calm down, its gonna be okay...” I said. “I'm here to rescue you, I won't let them lay a finger on you...” I said reassuringly.

I broke the hug and wiped his tears away.

“I'll keep you safe, don't worry.” I said in a serious tone as he looked directly into my eyes. We both were in a trance as we looked at each other, until it got broken by those three goons.

“He belongs to us.” one of the goons said and that pissed me off. I could feel the terror on that kid's face, he was terrified, god forbid what terrible things they did to him before I arrived here.

“Yeah, if you wanna survive just leave.” the other one said with a smirk.

“As far as I am concerned, he's nobody's property.” I said as I got up and stood infront of him. “Where are the Vanish Brothers?” I asked straight up.

“Bosses will be here soon, if they find you, it will be your demise.” the third one spoke, before he disappeared.

‘He vanished.’ I was shocked.

I heard a scream from behind me, I looked back and my blood boiled when I saw that he appeared right behind me and had captured that boy, again.

“Please just let me go.” he cried. There was something about him, he was pain, I could feel his pain in his voice, and I couldn't see him pain.

“Ice Make: Freeze!” I lost my cool and completely froze that goon in a block of ice and pulled that kid away from him.

“Thank You-” he barely muttered as he looked that goon and then at me.

“How dare you!” The other yelled as they jumped towards us with weapons in their hands. I removed my shirt and threw it in the kid's direction, which he caught in surprise.
