14: The Purple Moon

Normal P.O.V

When Gems and Gray woke up, the house was again empty. Gems found a note on the dining table, it was from Lucy.

“They've left for another mission.” Gems told Gray after he finished reading the note. Both of them sighed, especially Gems.

“Another one without us?” Gray asked not being surprised, but he was low-key liking the idea of working together after their recent mission.

“Lucy said she knocked on our bedroom and they waited for us and eventually left when we didn't wake up.” Gems informed.

“I blame you for keeping me awake all night.” Gray said with a smirk.

“You were the one who kept me awake.” Gems replied only to be attacked by Gray's lips. They were alone and Gray wouldn't let this opportunity slide away from his hands.

Gray kissed Gems and they both fell on the couch.

“We are all alone.” Gray mumbled, making Gems blush.

“Gray I'm still sore from last night, can we not wait till night?” Gems asked as Gray pulled him up.

“Understandable, but can I kiss you one more time?” Gray asked.

“I don't think you need permission for that.” Gems just replied and the next second, they were engaged in a battle of tongues. That was a smooth kiss. They both kissed each other until their heart's content.

Both the boys were at the guild hall, chilling while just sitting on a table with some of the guild members. They decided that Gray would be training Gems and not take up any missions for now.

They were about to leave when Mirajane came running down, in a panic mode, and informed Makarov that an S-Class job request flyer was missing from the second floor.

“I saw a blue cat with wings take off with it.” Laxus spoke while sitting calmly on the second floor, while the others were in a panic mode.

“Happy? They went on an S-Class mission?!” Gems asked Gray while whispering. Gray just shrugged, he was as confused as others. That spread like wild fire.

Makarov asked Laxus to bring them back, but Laxus refused, even added fuel to fire by asking for them to be removed from the guild for breaking rules.

Gems gasped, while Gray gritted his teeth.

“His ego knows no bounds.” Gray whispered to Gems, getting annoyed by Laxus.

“What job flyer did they take?” Makarov asked Mirajane.

“The cursed island of Galuna.” Mirajane answered and that sent shockwaves through the guild.

“Gray... We should go and bring them back.” Gems mumbled looking worried for his friends, especially Lucy.

“You're right.” Gray answered while nodding.

Makarov was pissed when Laxus disagreed to bring Natsu and the others back, but Gray volunteered. Master put his hopes all his hopes on Gray, and Gems.

The duo immediately went home and Gray packed some of their stuff and essentials in a bag, just in case. Gray rented a magic motorbike to reach Hargeon Port faster.

“Hold me tightly, okay?” Gray said as he gave the ignition. Gems blushed. He nodded and snaked his arms around Gray's torso, wrapping them tightly as Gray accelerated.
