43: Rejection

Normal P.O.V

The battle with Racer continued and it looked like both Gray and Gems were struggling. Everytime when Gems grabbed Gray and tried to fly and take it to the sky, Racer kicked them down.

Racer was trying very hard to prevent them from flying.

“Flying Tornado!” A lavender magic seal appeared infront of Gems and a tornado shot out right Racer's direction, but he dodged it easily.

“Ice Make: Hammer!” Gray created a huge hammer out of ice and attacked him, but Racer dodged that too.

The surrounding area had ice all around due to Gray using his magic. But none of them were able to land a single hit on him. Gems helped Gray stand up as he healed Gray's wound.

Gems was running out of magic energy.

“I could easily catch up with that flame brat if I felt so inclined.” Racer spoke as he appeared behind Gray and Gems. They were off gaurd.

“When did he...?” Gray mumbled in shock. He knew that back attack from him was coming. He immediately got infront of Gems to protect him. And he was correct. Gray recieved an instant kick from Racer.

Gems gasped.

“But I won't feel satisfied until I eliminate you both first.” Racer spoke with malice in his voice. 

“Gray! I think we should do a unison spell!” Gems suggested out of concern, they both were low on magic and needed something quick.

“I'll have plenty of time to catch up after of I beat you both.” Racer whispered as he appeared behind Gems. Gems's eyes widened. Before Gray could say anything, Racer kicked Gems, making him crash onto the nearby tree.

“How dare you!?” Gray yelled in anger as he saw those expressions of agony in Gems's face, that cry of pain that Gems let out upon getting hit and those wounds that were starting to appear on Gems's body. Gray was fuming.

A blue magic circle appeared as he stood in the fighting stance.

“Ice Make: Spikeway!”

Gray slammed his hands on the ground and the ground beneath Racer turned into ice immediately with large spikes on it. But Racer dodged that too. That was making Gray even more angry. Racer just appeared behind him and kicked him too.

“Gray! No!” Gems covered his mouth as he gasped looking at that. He immediately got up and ran towards his boyfriend.

“Too slow, too slow, too slow!” Racer mocked Gems as he ran, Gems couldn't even see him and got pushed in to the ground by Racer pretty quick.

‘I can't even see him...’ Gems thought as he tried getting up.

When Racer was distracted with Gems, Gray used it an opportunity. “Ice Make: Cage!” Gray created a huge cage of ice, and captured Racer in it. Gems smiled and laughed at Racer as their plan worked.

But Racer just smirked and broke through the cage.

“You can make anything you want with your magic, but they won't work against me.” Racer spoke. “Dead Grand Prix!” Racer used his spell this time.

Gems and Gray turned their heads here and there as they heard voices and lights coming in their direction. And suddenly, multiple magic motorbikes appeared which were on auto pilot.

They were at full acceleration and were running right towards Gems and Gray. Their eyes widened upon seeing.

“Gems! Stay close!” Gray mumbled as they dodged the upcoming rally of attack of those multiple magic motorbikes. But they kept on coming. “How many of these are there?” Gems asked as he was barely able to dodge, had he not, he'd have a severe injury from that direct hit from a vehicle.
