78: The "Real" Dark Gems D'Cruz

Normal P.O.V

“Gray!” Gems screamed at the top of his lungs as he saw Gray fall on the ground in the puddle of his own blood, and was completely motionless.

Lyon immediately got rid of those dragons while still being stunned about what just happened, while Meledy was speechless.

Gems felt his stomach churn when he got up and limped towards Gray. He fell to his knees, infront of Gray. “Gray...” Gems mumbled while tears were flowing down his cheeks. “Gray... Wake up...” Gems mumbled as his heartbeats increased.

He was still processing about what had just happened in front of his eyes.

“Gray... I'll listen to everything you say... I promise... Please wake up... Gray... Please...” Gems mumbled while stammering as he grabbed Gray's hand and tried waking him up.

“Gems...” Meledy mumbled as she couldn't see what happened in front of her. Even without a sensory link, she could feel Gems's pain.

“No...” Gems mumbled as he saw Gray's blood on his hand. “No! No.. No.. Noooo!” Gems cried as he realized that Gray was never gonna wake up ever again.

“Gray!! You can't leave me like this... Wake up! Don't leave me!! Please! I need you! Gray... Don't do this to me!” Gems cried as he fell on Gray's body which was punctured from various places, Gems's clothes were getting soaked in Gray's blood as he shed more tears.

Meledy turned around while crying as she couldn't see what Gems was going through.

“Shelia! Where are you!?” Lyon called for Shelia, but she was no where near. But Meledy just shook her head no while looking at Lyon. Gems was crying mess. The entire area was filled with Gems's cries and his agony was audible to Lyon and Meledy.

Gems couldn't believe that the love of his life was gone.

“Gray...come back...please...” Gems cried. “I can't live with you... I can't!”

Meledy could feel the pain in Gems's voice. This was the last thing anyone could've expected. Meledy and Lyon were in shock too and didn't even know how to react.

‘Told you its gonna happen.’ Gems's eyes widened when he heard a familiar inside his head. It was the same voice that Gems would often hear in his nightmare, in that one repeated nightmare. The voice of the man that forced him to watch Gray's death. ‘It was just a matter of time.’ he heard again.

Gems just covered his ears, he was in a terrible state. He was broken and vulnerable and his heart was aching.

‘Do you wanna see that dream again? Where I forced you to watch your man die?’ Gems heard again as he raised his head and looked at Gray's dead body and more tears escaped his eyes.

His shut his eyes and covered his ears and shook his head no. “No...No...” Gems mumbled while crying.

‘Wait... He's already dead!’ Gems heard that voice who was now laughing. ‘And you couldn't do a damn thing about it to stop it in real life as well. You're pathetic!’ Gems cried as he couldn't stop that voice.

Gems opened his eyes to escape that voice just to have a raven watching him from a nearby debris. Gems wiped his tears as he looked at that eerie looking bird.

Suddenly the red eyes of that raven glowed and it did something to Gems. Something inside of Gems shifted. Gems was feeling a lot of negativity arising inside of him. It was as if Gems was hypnotized.

‘Don't ever forget what Juvia, Lyon and Meledy did to you.’ Gems heard that voice. ‘Maybe you should avenge Gray.’ he heard again as he tried getting up. He looked at Gray and his blood boiled.
