56: His Man!

Normal P.O.V

Gems protected his friends, thanks to his newly acquired powers even though he was still exploring it. But he was glad he could use it to save his friends.

“A dome of wind!? So this is how Earth Land magic works...” Hughes mumbled. While Natsu got all fired up and just went in and punched Hughes in the jaw, sending him flying.

Natsu was enraged, but unbeknownst to him, his biggest weakness was approaching him.

“Natsu, behind you!” Lucy yelled, warning him and immediately the floor below them softened and it became like a quicksand, as they all started to get swallowed by the floor.

“Gray!? What's happening!?” Gems asked as he was unable to move or pull himself out.

“We are sinking into the ground!” Gray answered. Gems tried using his wings, but he was stuck, while Natsu was struggling with being stuck on the rollercoaster.

“He's in trouble!” Lucy gasped.

“Ding Dong! We're in trouble too!” Gems said while panicking.

“Lucy! Go help Natsu with that freak, we'll handle the other one.” Gray said as he grabbed Lucy and started to pull her out, while complaining about her wait. Lucy was protesting but Gray just pulled her out and threw her right at Natsu with his monster strength. Lucy was sent flying at Natsu.

Gray sighed in relief.

“Gray! What about us!? This thing gonna swallow us whole!” Gems said as he held on Gray's jacket.

“Gemsie, hold me tightly.” Gray said as he looked above. “I'm gonna get us out.” he added as he looked at Gems. Gems nodded and wrapped his arms around Gray.

“Hold tight, okay?” Gray assured while raising his arms and channelled his magic. Gems nodded and he did what the older male said.

“Ice Make: Grappling Hooks!”

Two ice hooks shot out of the magic circle and got stuck on the nearby ceiling. “Here we go!” Gray said and Gems tightened his grip even more, he could hear Gray's heart beats, it was faster than usual.

With the help of those hooks, Gray pulled both of them out of that trap and landed safely on hard floor.

“We are safe now.” Gray mumbled as he patted Gems on his head. Gems let go of Gray and sighed in relief. The wind wizard was about to say something but got interrupted by Sugarboy.

“Earth Land magic seems impressive, why didn't you help your fiery friend yourself?” Sugarboy asked and both Gray and Gems turned around to face him.

“So that we can give you a beat down!” Gray said as he got ready for another attack. “Ice Make: Death Scythe!” Gray ran towards him and attacked him with a huge ice scythe but the opponent seemed to have blocked his attack with his sword, which caused the ice to turn in a softened liquid.

“What the hell!?” Gems said in shock as he witnessed that.

“My weapon, Rosa Espada, can soften anything it touches.” Sugarboy as he looked at his sword and smirked in a weird way.

“You can't bend wind! Wind Blast!” Gems came forward and launched an attack of his own. Much to both Gray's and Gems's dismay, Sugarboy wasn't able to bend the wind, but he just bend the direction of the attack and that shocked both Gray and Gems.

“Flying Tornado!” Gems launched another attack, a stronger one this time, but Sugarboy just dodged it.

“Wind Slash!”
