44: Dark Gems D'Cruz

Gray's P.O.V

Lyon jumped down the cliff, taking Racer with him in order to detonate the lacrima bomb. Sherry was there with us, she came following us but Gems didn't. I was worried about Gems because he'd never leave a chance to be as close to me as possible.

Him not coming for us with Sherry was very concerning to me.

Both Sherry and I found a way to go downwards to find Lyon, but we weren't able to find either him or Racer. And there was no sign of Gems as well.

Out of no where Sherry blamed me for what happened with Lyon, she looked like something had possessed her. She attacked me and tried choking me to death. I passed out as my vision was blurry and black.

When I regained my conscious, I coughed out. ‘What just happened...’ I thought as I got up. ‘Gems...’ I immediately thought of him. And went to search for him.

“Gems!” I yelled his name while I was running around the forest in the hopes of him resting under the shade of a tree. There was no sign of him and I was getting more and more worried.

“Gemsie! Where are you!?” I yelled at the top of my lungs but luck wasn't on my side at all.

I saw Natsu and Lucy at a far distance and immediately ran towards them, maybe they knew where Gems was or any whereabouts of him. I saw Sherry was about to attack them as well.

“Not by any chance...” I mumbled as I ran faster and did something that Gems taught me. I wrapped my arm around her neck from behind and tightened my grip making her stop the attack.

She was fading, it will not kill her but she will go unconscious for a while, that was the only way of stopping her without hurting her with magic.

I let her go and she immediately fell to the ground.

Lyon appeared out of nowhere, he managed to survive the blast and defeated Racer as well. When Sherry saw that Lyon was safe, she closed her eyes and lost consciousness.

Her body emitted a lot of black magic energy which was then released in to the sky.

“What the...?” Natsu was confused.

“I knew it, she seemed like she really was possessed by something!” I told them while taking a deep breathe of relief. This was something.

“This.... is Nirvana!” Lucy mumbled as she shook her head no. She informed us about the true power of Nirvana and how it can affect anyone that was wavering between light and dark with negative emotions.

That revelation shocked all of us.

If Gems was here, he would've been able to heal Sherry in no time.

“Lucy! Natsu! Does either of you know where Gems is?” I asked immediately. I was getting impatient to see him.

“Wasn't he with you, fighting Racer?” Natsu asked me.

“I haven't seen him since you guys left! What happened to Gems?” Lucy asked me. My heart dropped as I heard them answering my question. They had no idea where Gems was either.

“We split up while fighting Racer. He was with Sherry, while Lyon and I handled business.” I told them. “But when Sherry came to help us, Gems wasn't with her! And when I went back to the spot where I told him to wait for me, it was completely barren. Gems wasn't anywhere near that.” I explained.

“I am worried sick, he is alone somewhere, all alone! What if someone from Oracion Seis finds him before me... The thought of it is making me go insane right now.” I said.
